Lochdonhead Primary School gains gold
A Mull primary school has achieved gold status with UNICEF UK’s respecting rights programme. Lochdonhead
Primary School “has been celebrating receiving the award given to schools that show commitment to promoting and realising children’s rights and encouraging adults, children and young people to respect the rights of others in school. UNICEF is the world’s leading organisation working for children and their rights. Argyll and Bute Council’s Policy Lead for Education Councillor Yvonne McNeilly said: ‘The Rights Respecting Schools Award is a prestigious title and Lochdonhead’s accreditation shows the importance the school places on ensuring pupils see themselves as rights respecting global citizens and are advocates for social justice, fairness and children’s rights at home
