‘My mum and dad passed over the business to me in 2016 and I can’t thank them enough for all of the support they have given me.

‘Without their trust and belief in me at the very beginning we would have never come this far.’

Argyll and Bute MP Brendan O’Hara tabled a motion in the House of Commons congratulating Siobhan Cameron and commending ‘the hard work of manager Niamh Cowan and all the staff of the Creel Seafood Bar in contributing to this outstanding success’.

The text, sponsored by eight other MPs, also noted: ‘The Creel was originally opened in 2014 by Siobhan’s mum Alex and her dad Andrew and had it not been for their hard work and determination to build the business in those early years, none of this success would have been possible.

‘Therefore thanks everyone involved with Creel Seafood Bar, past and present, for what they have done to put this small corner of the Isle of Mull on the culinary map of Scotland and [the House] wishes them all the very best for the future.’
