ANALYSIS AND OPTIMIZATION OF A CLIP FOR BEACH TOWELS University Of The Aegean,Syros Island Department of Production and System design Syros,Summer 2013
This was a 5 member team project with three main goals: Design of a 3d model (CAD): Development of a detailed 3D model of a clip product using certain guidelines and technical drawings. Analysis & Optimization (CAE): Performing a stress analysis of the product. Manufacturing (CAM): Creation of basic machining operations in order to manufacture the clip. I had participated in all the assignments and I was the team leader.
ANALYSIS AND OPTIMIZATION OF A CLIP FOR BEACH TOWELS The clip consists of 4 parts which are presented with the exploded view. The software that we used was Creo Parametric 2.0. All members took part in every section of the design process.
Upward forces were set in the central part of the clip to simulate stress conditions.

Finally we printed each part of the clip by using additive manufacturing machine.

Production and Managment Engineer Lesson: “LEARNING AND DESIGNING WITH H/Y USE (CAD)” Professor Bilalis Nikolaos Semester project (Individual) I decided to design a kitchen appliance and I got inspired by the Kenwood mixer, the Kmix 51 model. I also got inspired by the artistic and social movement of futurism that originated in Italy in the early 20th century.

THE ERGO-JUMP ROPE Individual project Spring 2014
This project was created with a view to redesign the classic jump rope DESIGN REASEARCH: This project aims to create a product that will enhance the support and the comfort of the user by providing ergonomically designed features. The design allows to the fingers to be placed suitably, providing them with a steady, non-slippery and thorough grip. Biomechanical considerations were taken in order to result to the optimum results. The ergo-jump rope could be used for up to 60 minutes.
Grip design guidelines:
Grip should be contoured to the curve of the balm Grip should not be ridged Grip handle should fit the hand Grip should be suitable padded
RE-TABLE LAMP The purpose of this project was to create a table lamp by using already existing components. Summer 2014 This was a creative way to reuse two different objects in order to create a multi functional furniture.

Creating objects with simple design and reduced use of materials reduces the ecological footprint and creates social prosperity.
Creation of a silicone mold - cologne bottle Team project that included one object per student (winter semester 2013-2014) Laboratory Exercise for "Study and product development" lesson Professor Bilalis Nikolaos, Technical University of Crete I decided to use a COLOGNE BOTTLE in order to construct the silicon mold.
PROCESS: The original model was placed in the container. We calculated the required volume of silicone and we created the mixture that we poured into the container where the object was located. We stirred the necessary quantities of silicone and strengthener with the use of a decompression chamber and we carefully poured the mixture into the mold, to completely cover the original object. The silicone after 24 hours was solidified completely after a second decompression. The detachment of the model from the silicone was held with the help of a compressed air gun. With the aid of forceps and a blade we cut the silicone in two parts. The mold after this procedure was ready for the construction of the first object.
