It is one of the biggest issues we are dealing with. In the upcoming years, global warming can affect us in many treacherous ways. On one hand, we are planning on making life possible on Mars. But we still must think about how our livelihood is going to be in the next few centuries. We must think about how we are going to deal with the rise in sea levels across the globe along with the increase in temperature of Earth. We must think about how we are going to adapt to that environment and how all this will change our day-to-day chores.

02 Literature Glows, Architecture Reflects.
“Architecture is a living history of cities. Embodying the memory of cities, a historical building can record their vicissitudes, manifest their demeanor, and carry on their culture. ” Type: conceptual project Location: Nanjing, China Program: old building renovation Instructor: Zhou Hexiang Email: zhouhexiang_571876@baosteel.com Academic Individual work, 05/2020-08/2020 Themed “Literature Glows, Architecture Reflects”, this project aims at designing for the “City of Literature ”– Nanjing. South of the lower pontoon bridge in Qinhuai district of Nanjing, there is a famous old factory, Nanjing Second machine Tool Factory, referred to as the second machine. The second machine not only produces machine tools, but also is the nanjing gear production base.
Nanjing No. 2 Machine Tool Factory is located at No. 66, Rengjiaoshi, Laifeng Street, Qinhuai District, Nanjing city. It is a historic area designated by Nanjing Industrial Heritage Protection Plan. It is now nanjing Pioneering Park for National Leading Talents (referred to as National Innovation Park). Building no. 28 (historical building no. NJ0039) of nanjing No. 2 Machine Tool Factory is located in the northernmost part of the park. The west side is adjacent to the current housing, the east side is the north-south main road of the park, and the north side is the development land of huilong Street block 03-04 in Wuhuali Binhe in the west of the Qinhuai River.
Du Mu was in the waning of the late Tang Dynasty, and had feelings about the Qinhuai River. Wang Shizhen's poems on the Qinhuai River, combined with the history of the fall of the Ming Dynasty, have a strong appeal.
After the reform and opening up, with the economic development, nanjing Second machine Tool Factory also developed rapidly, the old factory has not adapted to the modern production requirements, after the relocation of the second machine, the old factory as nanjing industrial history traces remain.
The famous Ming dynasty writer Zhang Dai has left his love for the Qinhuai River in the dream of Tao 'an.
N
In fact, the former site of the two machine factory located in the southern wall of the old city is the predecessor of the Late Qing Dynasty (1896) by the governor of Liangjiang Liu Kun - founded the "Jiangnan casting silver coin general Bureau", casting "Guangxu yuanbao" silver dollar. In 1912, the republic of China was founded, the factory was renamed "Jiangnan Mint of the Republic of China".

In the modern writer Zhu Ziqing's pen, qinhuai River has infinite charm because of its integration with history. The Qinhuai River felt by Yu Pingbo seems to have something similar with Du Mu, that is, obscurity.

Architecture for Wellness is a niche responsible for the development of captivating architectural experiences that can facilitate and support the search and the achievement of the psychophysical wellness. Architecture can have a deep healing effect on a person if it can stimulate the human senses. The Wellness Retreat should be resonant with an elemental materiality and a deep sensual pleasure that can be a very good medium for instilling emotions, i.e. the aura of space should bring a positive change in a person's perception and mood while using the space. In order to adapt to the design site with a height difference of 24m from east to west, the scheme design of the sanatorium adopts decentralized layout, so as to make as little excavation and filling as possible. The height difference of the building group is designed as 18m. To the west is Lake St. Moritz, the lowest point of the site, where the public function space is gathered. With the elevation of the terrain to the east, in order to ensure the best direction and sunshine orientation of the convalescent landscape, it is set as the functional area of the convalescent ward.

“There are many problems in comfort and safety of high-rise housing. Not conducive to interpersonal communication, from a long-term point of view is not conducive to maintenance, so many high-rise housing in the future, how to transform how to repair? It's a huge problem.”
“As a result of the design and construction process finalize the design, it is difficult to innovate the multi-storey residence in the structure, the choice of building materials and the spatial layout, forming the disadvantage of "one side of a thousand buildings, thousands of homes are the same". If we want to innovate, we need to invest more and lose our advantage in terms of price and cost.”
“The disadvantage of single-family villas is that the holding cost is large and the total market price is high. General alone villa garden is bigger, do rise very troublesome, and use area is big, the heating problem in winter is very thorny, the cost of living can be a lot taller than the house that lives other.”
