we are thinking of how to use “infate” to change the space of the building

Concept- comic character We are thinking what can be the interaction when people dance? find out that is similar with comic character. when the comic character what to fight, there will be a tornado around them. just like they are promoting their energy to fight. we think that it is same as dancing, when there is music, people will dance. they will heat up when they dance. same as fighting have the energy, we what to create tornado when they are dancing. like dancer are promoting their energy.

For this case, I am thinking of how to find out the designing basis of each step in the digital designing.

A design of the exhibition space 2009.02~2009.06

Fourth-grade designing: the content of the designing is an exhibition hall.

Diamond Press the diamond from both upward and downward, change, and reverse.

fold

Square Take square as the original shape and expand it gradually.

compound actions entanglement + fold Triangle Fix the bottom of the triangle and change the upper part with equal ratio.

conugate + fold

For the first phase, draw 50 lines on the paper strip with the principles of “copy” and “gradual change.” Then cut along these lines. twist + pleat

Step 1

I apply gradual changes to various shapes from basic square, triangle, diamond, and straight line.

Paper model create various posture

spread + wrap

For the second phase, perform the cut paper with various posture (such as rotation, twist, and lift) and create different grains and curves

collection- Frank Gehry For this phase, look for a theme of pavilion. I choose a series of Tiffany designed by architect Frank Gehry. Most of his jewels are designed with geometric elements such as axis morph torque. These elements are similar to my elements of gradual changes, so I attempt to design an exhibition hall for showing the relationship between jewels and the exhibition hall.

As it passes through the atmosphere, light is attenuated by scattering and absorption; the more atmosphere through which it passes, the greater the attenuation. Consequently, celestial bodies at the horizon appear less bright than when at the zenith. The attenuation, known as atmospheric extinction, is described quantitatively by the Beer-Lambert-Bouguer law.

“Airmass” normally indicates relative airmass, the path length relative to that at the zenith at sea level, so by definition, the sea-level airmass at the zenith is 1. Airmass increases as the angle between the source and the zenith increases, reaching a value of approximately 38 at the horizon. Airmass can be less than one at an elevation greater than sea level; however, most closed-form expressions for airmass do not include the effects of elevation, so adjustment must

12|21

usually be accomplished by other means.

The same location on the surface, the different times the AM changes

In some fields, such as solar energy, airmass is indicated by the acronym AM; additionally,

The relative influence of the surface would be acceptable

the value of the airmass is often given by appending its value to AM,

to accept the solar radiation intensity of solar irradiance

so that AM1 indicates an airmass of 1, AM2 indicates an airmass of 2, and so on. 0.678

Variation is a musical structure as part of sonata and symphony. It can also serve as individual work of instrumental music. The initial theme of the music is constantly repeated with changes. The changes can happen in harmony, melody, counterpoint, and rhythm. The changes can also happen in timbre through different instruments. The change is called theme transformation or “variation. The times of variations is not fixed, so it can happen for several times. The development of the music form is as follows: A(THEME)+A1+A2+A3+..

Present the same theme with different speeds.
