VERBS
Verbs show actions or states of being
Example: She is walking to school
ADVERBS
Is a word that is used to change, modify or qualify several types of words including an adjective, a verb, a clause, another adverb, or any other type of word or phrase
Adjectives ADJECTIVES DESCRIBE OR MODIFY NOUNS AND PRONOUNS EXAMPLE: THE WISED, HANDSOME GUY HAS BLUE EYES
PREPOSITIONS Prepositions show the relationship between a noun and a pronoun and another word in the rest of the sentence.
Example: The frog sat in the flower
CONJUNCTIONS Conjunctions join two or more words, phrases or clauses Example: The hummingbird sat and waited
Interjections INTERJECTIONS SHOW EXCITEMENT OR EMOTION. THEY ARE NOT GRAMMATICALLY RELATED TO THE REST OF THE SENTENCE.
EXAMPLE: WOW! THAT JUMP WAS AMAZING.
