QOROS 3X CONCEPT
INTERN IN QOROS AUTO, SHANGHAI 5 MONTH BA THESIS PROJECT
The project was to design an off-road vehicle for Chinese market. The concept should be very functional suited to young urban user that is enthusiastic about sport and adventure but also need a pratical vehicle for using in the city. One of the challenges is to keep the Qoros brand values and add another dimension of ruggedness and functionality that should be visible to the consumer.

SANYA CITY Sanya is superior in geography climate and natural resources. It is known as “The Sunshine City” because of its tropical scenes as well as its attractive nature. It is a most fashionable place where tropical marine tourist resources are closely concentrated and lovers of swimming can enjoy their holidays in winter.

DEVELOPMENT
Inspired by surfboard and water-scooter, the first direction is to catch the dynamic feeling of the vehicle. Layered surfaces are widely used in this stage trying to create a mordern and light-weight feeling off-roader.

DEVELOPMENT
Equipment like diving mask and waterproof watch have a strong rugged feeling, and they work quite well as they look stable. The vehicle takes some elements from these equipment, for example the huge diving mask on the front, and create an extreme functional concept.

PLAYFUL & OCEAN STYLE
The whole design aims at delivering the ocean style. Since the vehicle is used in Sanya City where people can enjoy the sunshine and coastal scenery, playful or joyful is another main theme for styling development.

RUGGEDNESS Ruggedness is serving as another theme of the design. Integrating the tough trunk along with the stable bumper into the rear, the vehicle is giving this rugged feeling not only from styling but also from function.
PACKAGE Taking the dimension of a D segment vehicle as a reference, the whole model is design under a layout of a cross sports car with two passengers and spacious trunk area.

SCALE MODEL
A great thank you to Qoros Design Studio that has sponsored me to finish this scale model. It’s a quarter to the real size and done by milling machine. And also quite glad the see the real model with this lifestyle feeling. The design is trying to integrate the Qoros value with more playful element, which is well executed on the mock up.

What does the interior look like in the next generation skoda superb? As for Chinese market, consumers care more about the space and comfort especially rear seat. This project explores the future styling of Skoda interior and develops functions for Chinese consumers.

ALFA ROMEO EXTERIOR SKETCHING WORKSHOP 3 WEEKS QUICK PRACTICE
It is a quick project aiming at developing skills and ability of styling. The main task is to sketch an Alfa Romeo smart car with different directions and pick one to finalize the design.

SMART & SPORTY
Alfa Romeo is famous for its unique Italian style which is quite sensual and romantic, and the brand holds a strong racing DNA as well. The challenge here is to keep the brand value and add some more “smart & cute” feature onto the model.

PAMD TRANSPORT COLLARBORATION WITH PACE 1 MONTH TRANPORTATION DESIGN PROJECT
The PAMD transport design is a short project and the word PAMD stands for “portable assisted mobility device“. The main idea is to create a portable mini trans that can work properly in mega city. There should be some smart solution for portability and mobility. The whole project lasts in 1 month and would be visualized in digital rendering.
