Making Progress through Wholeness Great strides can be made when we are spiritually, mentally, and physically fit. When Esther was be prepared to meet the king, she had to undergoe a transformation. She was being prepared to be a queen. She was transformed from a young Jewish girl into a queen. The process affected how she ate, how she took care of her body and what she thought about her God, herself and others. Today, it is through the ministry of Holy Spirit that we are being prepared. By the grace of God and through the power of the Holy Spirit, this book will be an instrument to guide you through 40 days of transformation. It’s not a formula or rigid program. It is an opportunity for lasting change.

Breaking Bad Habits 1. Look for "the moment it all goes wrong" With many bad habits, there's a specific point where your good intentions become derailed by events. Sometimes, you need to work back from this point to figure out where it went wrong - because this is what you need to tackle first. For example: You know you should have breakfast every morning, but you're always racing out of the door late. "The moment it all goes wrong" is when you switch your alarm clock to "snooze" for the fifth time, finally rolling out of bed at the last possible minute. 2. Focus on what you'll gain, not what you'll lose If you're contemplating giving up cigarettes, limiting alcohol to weekends only, becoming vegetarian, cutting out junk food ... don't think about what you'll be missing. Instead, focus on the health gains or increased energy that you'll enjoy. For example: If you're becoming vegetarian, don't think of all the foods you can't have, and lament over the loss of bacon sandwiches. Buy a good vegetarian recipe book and try out lots of new meals using ingredients you've not cooked with before. 3. Replace the bad habit with a good one Getting rid of bad habits often involves cutting something out of your life - maybe an unhealthy snack, hours of TV-watching, or cigarettes or alcohol. To stay strong and keep the bad habit from creeping back, you need to plug the gap with something else. For example: You always want something sweet after lunch - and invariably succumb to a candy bar from the vending machine. Instead of cutting out the sweet treat completely, replace it with a piece of fruit. Creating Good Habits 1. Make it part of your routine The best trick when building up a good habit is to make it easier to stick to the habit than to avoid it. This means working your new habit into your daily life, so that it becomes as much a part of your routine as brushing your teeth or having a shower.

For example: If you're trying to build up a habit of daily exercise, cycle or walk to work - or get into the routine of going out for a walk in your lunch hour. If you exercise at the same time each day, you'll find yourself geared up for it without any conscious effort. 2. Set a time limit If sticking to your new good habit for the whole of 2009 seems daunting or impossible, set a time limit. This could be anything from a few days to a few months. The crucial thing is that once you've picked the time period, you need to stick to your habit throughout. For example: If you're cutting out junk food, try being disciplined for just two weeks. After that time, you can choose whether or not the health gains you've made are enough to encourage you to continue. 3. The chain method When you're trying to establish a daily habit, try marking off each day you achieve it on a calendar. The idea is to build up an unbroken "chain" of successful days. The longer the chain gets, the more will-power you'll have to maintain your good habit. For example: If you're determined to meet your five-a-day target every day, put a tick on the calendar each day you succeed - and watch the success chain grow!

About fasting The human body process food in three phases: digestion, absorption, and elimination. During fasting the body is able to catch up on all three phases. If the body has a problem with elimination; symptoms of sickness will occur. You will experience a bad feeling, headache, abdominal pain or some uncomfortable sign. One of the best ways to improve the appearance of your skin is by incorporating raw food into your diet. Beautiful skin starts from the inside out. People who switch to eating mostly raw food often see an improvement in their skin and look younger. Heating food above 105 degrees Fahrenheit destroys the enzymes as well as 50% of the protein and 70-90% of the vitamins and minerals. Eating cooked food overtaxes the body's enzyme reserves. Eating more raw food decreases the amount of digestive enzymes your body has to produce. Raw foods are foods in their natural state with the enzymes left intact. It was extremely painful at first, but within 6 weeks I had regained 50% of my function and in 7 months of intense stretching I was back to normal!

I told them I had learned stretching and this is how it all started - they wanted to learn too! We started to teach stretching with all kinds of books and ideas from health specialists. Many health care professionals have taken my courses. They learn from me and I learn from them and we keep improving the courses. We studied with some people who knew about breathing, and combined this with the stretches. I love to teach stretching because I learn more by teaching!

inflammatory. I talked to many health care providers about this and they said this made sense. They observed the effects of stretching with their patients and found it to be true. This explains why stretching reduces pain. Inflammation causes pain, and when the inflammation is gone, the pain is gone.

How You Stretch is Important. For the anti-inflammatory effect, however, it is extremely important how you stretch. Inflammation is the body’s reaction to injury. If we don’t exercise properly we can cause injury. Even stretching, if not done properly, can increase inflammation. It is important to move slowly in and out of the stretches, paying attention to your body and letting it tell you when to stop. I have found that breathing slowly and deeply, as well as holding the stretches for about 30 seconds, is the key to stretching being antiinflammatory. (Read more about how to stretch.)

We Created our Stretching DVD Through our studies, Dorothée and I came up with 15 basic stretches that take about 15-20 minutes a day to do. We made a video with these stretches, and when the health specialists in my country reviewed it they said that with only those 15 basic, simple stretching exercises we could stretch 95% of the muscles in our body. They said this was very important because they felt that to be healthy we should be doing some kind of exercise that would be using all of our muscles everyday just to keep them alive. With the kind of life we are living in the 21st century, most people are not using all of their muscles! These same health specialists in the eastern part of Canada started to recommend our DVD to their patients. It started with chiropractors and acupuncturists and then a few doctors got involved. They bought our video and experimented with it themselves before they recommended it. How Long Does it Take to Get Results? Most people notice some results within the first week and the benefits grow with time. With a serious condition it can take months and years for the problem to resolve, but even very serious problems can be healed through stretching. I know this because I’ve seen people do it. It’s not that they go to a healer and the healer heals them; it’s because they started the stretching and kept on doing it. The more you stretch a day, the faster the results come, but for most people 15 to 20 minutes is enough to make a big difference. In the case of a woman who healed herself from multiple sclerosis, it took her a total of two years and she was stretching an hour a day. She is still well 10 years later. Now she does yoga, she plays golf all summer, she goes downhill skiing all winter — she is in better shape than everybody in her family and surroundings!

Transfer mixture to a large bowl. Stir in shredded coconut, raisins, psyllium powder, vanilla, and honey, and mix well with a spoon. RECIPES

Raw Spaghetti

Compliments of Rick Dina, D.C. 2 medium green zuccini, as thick (fat) and straight as possible. “Spiralize” in “Saladacco (Spiral Slicer)”, or similar machine. Shredded zuccini can work also, but the authentic “pasta effect” is not as notable. Arrange on plate similar to pasta. Pasta Sauce 10-12 “sundried” tomatoes, allow to soak for several minutes in warm water to soften. 1 large fresh tomato 1 large red pepper 1-2 stalks of celery 1 clove garlic (4-5 fresh basil leaves) Blend all of the sauce ingredients in a blender or Food Processor. Add the soaked sundried tomatoes last, a few at a time. Pour nicely over the zucchini “pasta”. Some fresh curly parsley sprinkled over the top adds a nice touch! Other Options Make a sauce of raw tahini, lime juice, and a little water to drizzle on the top for extra taste and presentation.
