Returning to the heart of Silicon Beach for the 2nd year, the Playa Vista Fun Run brought together hundreds of residents + visitors for a morning of FUN with a goal of building a closer community! Local Families + Running Enthusiasts showed up for a 1K Fun Run starting on Mesmer Ave, Looping Centinela then returning to the start line under a Misting Rainbow on Teale Ave~ in the Arts District of Playa Vista. The event gave guests an opportunity to stay active + interact with neighbors + businesses from the surrounding communities including Therapy Studios, Culver Palms Meals on Wheels, LA Stadium, Fit4Mom Westside + SPRY Society. The "Fun Zone" kept families busy with a 100 foot long Inflatable Obstacle Run, an exotic animal show (with a Monkey ) Unicorn, Pony, Wagon + Train rides, a photobooth PLUS a petting zoo with an Alpaca! Guests kept Hydrated with the official water sponsor CORE, Vita Coco + Koia plus re-fueled from the brisk run with Oma's Dutch Pancakes, Fresh Fruit from Bristol Farms, Peatos, The Good Crisp + GoGo Squeeze. The Fun Run was presented by Kris Zacuto of Hilton & Hyland and was supported by Kabrita USA, Cedars-Sinai, LA Stadium, Sender One, Silicon Beach Parents group, SPRY Society + Councilmember Mike Bonin.Â

COMEDY FOR A CAUSE
Comedy For A Cause was launched in Playa Vista in Spring 2019, as an effort to build a social awareness campaign from a Pop-Up Live-Event Series. The unique comedy-experience provides a platform for comedians to help raise awareness for a variant of topics, such as growing up with a disability, moving to America and other tough-to-tackle conversations. Featuring comics known for their work on Last Comic Standing, Mad TV, Comedy Central and other Top Media outlets, we've seen appearances from Amir K, Willie Hunter, Jamar Neighbors, Davey Wester and more!

Summarizing the Q3 Stats Looking at the Q3 stats for 2018 & 2019 - the numbers look shockingly similar given the overall temperament of the current real estate market in Playa Vista. The Condo Market is performing almost identical, and the Single Family market shows a drastic change in Days on Market. With such a small sample size of Single Family Sales, its not surprising to see the numbers fluctuate in that manner. What's the big takeaway While the sales stats look similar, the road to the sale is very different in 2019 (vs 2018). Listings are seeing far more price reductions, more patient buyers, fewer multiple offer situations, and longer days on market. However, listings that are priced and/or presented well are performing and delivering positive results for sellers.
