Notice is hereby given of Prince’s Grant Golf Estate’s planned activities as contemplated in S24J of the NEMA act:

The main activity is fencing within 100m of the high water mark of the sea, replacing an existing fence. Other activities may include repair and replacement of infrastructure such as roads, water and sewer reticulation, and electricity supply to surveillance cameras along the property boundaries.

Fence Details:

*Galvanised steel mesh panels with galvanised steel fence posts (Clearview)

*Mesh panels varies in sizes between 4m to 2m per panel, depending on the topography

*Distance of fence 1300m

*Height of fence is 2100mm

*Widths are various ie 3,305m / 2,542m ,1,019m

*Standard foundations are 400mm X 400mm X 600mm deep

*Electric strands to be connected to the fence posts 100mm apart

Construction Activities:

*Construction activities undertaken will not interfere with any vegetation where possible as there is adequate space on either side of the fence to assemble the panels and post.

*Concrete will be mixed at the works site on plastic / timber boards. Concrete to be moved in wheel barrows to the holes where it is required.

*0,096 cubic meter per holes of soil will be excavated, this soil will be used to backfill over the concrete and along the fence line, soil will not stay heaped up for longer than 5 days. Soil will at all times be kept landward and inside of the current security fence.

*Materials will be transported to a certain point with and LDV, from there it will be carried to the work area by hand.

*Working area will be 2.5m on either side of the fence.

*The new fence will be constructed directly adjacent to the existing fence (currently tar poles with electric strands

*Once construction is completed the old fence will be removed by first removing the electric strands and then cutting the tar poles at ground level. All material to be immediately removed and safely discarded.
