Empowerment drive for rural youth

Ndwedwe Local Municipality in iLembe District is reintroducing its drivers licence assistance programme, which is aimed at empowering the youth of Ndwedwe.

The municipality has once again issued a call for qualifying youths between the ages of 18 and 35 to apply.

The programme caters for unemployed, out of school youths who are not enrolled at any tertiary institution. The municipality says in order to qualify, the applicants must have matric, be between 18 and 25, attach copy of the ID and proof of residence, and be registered on the voters roll under Ndwedwe Municipality. A motivational letter must also be included.

Application forms can be downloaded from the municipality's website, and are also obtainable from the Ndwedwe Youth Office.

The closing date for applications is the 3rd of
