{ BIO { Ya-Lun Lee is a multifaceted industrial designer from Taiwan, whose work experience has been critical in helping him understand his passions. He is an idealist who believes that everything happens for a reason. For many years it has been his dream to journey west to embrace design while submerged in a western culture. By beginning his Masters of Industrial Design studies at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY in the Fall of 2013 he took the first critical step in turning his fantasy into a reality.

{ DEDICATION { I dedicate this book to my parents and family whose full support allows me to pursue my dream of design in the United States. This book reflects the journey I am now following. Like my protagonist I understand where I started from and see my dreams more clearly now. I would like to thank Professor Tanya Van Cott, for designing this meaningful design problem and for opening my eyes to color concepts I never considered. I would also like to thank those who read this book. I hope you find inspiration to follow your own dreams. And, thank you, Cristina, for always having faith in me.

Mr. Lee is still in his office lying on his laptop when he falls asleep. It is unusual that he sleeps so deeply. He has not had good, quality sleep for a long time. In a slumber he begins a strange dream.

Reaching the top, Mr. Lee finds himself standing at the peak of a mountaintop. Instead of turning back, the only way out is to pass over a suspension bridge.

Ahhhhhhhh!

Mr. Lee falls from the bridge! Because the mountains are so huge, he falls through the air for almost twenty minutes.

Fortunately, Mr. Lee falls safely into a river where the rocks have different colors and shapes. The force of the river pulls him along. He seems to enjoy it.

Mr. Lee and the river suddenly empty out into an ocean. Looking around he notices the colors of the rocks have changed because their surrounding color has changed.

Diving under the water, Mr. Lee sees a beautiful, greenish-blue whale with its baby swimming beside it. He notices that scale seems to affect color. The smaller baby looks darker than its mother.
