65th Annual Central WA Artists Exhibition
Celebrating its 65th year at the Larson Gallery, the Central Washington Artists’ Exhibition is now on display and showcases the most current and innovative artwork being produced right here in our region. The gallery received over 200 submissions from 91 artists.
Juror Lauren Lessing had the difficult task of selecting just 87 pieces for this year’s show. Lessing, an art historian and educator with more than 25 years of experience working in museums, currently serves as the director of the University of Iowa’s Stanley Museum of Art. Her previous appointments included positions at the Art Institute of Chicago and the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art in Kansas City. She holds a bachelor’s degree in fine art from Earlham College, as well as master’s degrees in library science and art in history as well as a PhD in history of art from Indiana University. She also serves on the curatorial advisory panel of the Gund Gallery at Kenyon College and on the editorial board of the journal Panorama.
The show runs November 14 - December 12, 2020. A virtual opening event was held on November 14. The Larson Gallery is abiding by the State of Washington rules regarding COVID-19 safety precautions. View the exhibit online.
