POWER INTO THE VICTORYZONE Enter the victorYZone with Yamaha and experience a new level of winning engine and chassis performance – giving you the confidence to push harder and go faster.
From young racers starting out on the YZ65 and then progressing onto the YZ85 LW and YZ125, riders can stick with Yamaha right from the beginning of their careers.
For 2019, the WR450F celebrates a complete redesign that delivers stronger power with increased agility, as well as greater versatility and lighter handling. At the same time, the new WR450F boasts the revolutionary Power Tuner app – making it the bike for all reasons!
Connected as One
YZ450F This is the most complete motocross package we’ve ever created. And it’s also the first production bike that allows you to connect wirelessly and dial in your own customised engine settings - and maximise your winning potential. The lightweight electric start saves vital seconds when you’re under pressure – and the reverse head engine gets a high compression top end and optimised ECU for even stronger race winning power.
YZ450F
With its lightweight frame and refined suspension, this YZ450F gives you improved stability and agility over whoops and through corners. And its slim and compact bodywork delivers total rider agility combined with factory bike looks.
Reverse head engine
Power Tuner smartphone app
Lightweight electric starter
Slim and compact body
With its high-tech reverse head engine, this YZ450F gives you a wide spread of power for maximum race-winning potential. Featuring a higher compression head, piston, cam profiles, cylinder geometry, air intake, ECU and much more - this MXGP-bred design gives you the factory performance you need to power into the victorYZone!
Connect with your dirt bike like never before with the world’s first smartphone app for our Power Tuner! Using your device’s touch screen, you can instantly fine-tune your fuelling and ignition settings to achieve optimum performance. And the sharing function also allows you to compare your settings and race logs with other YZ450F riders!
The fitment of an ultra-light and extremely compact electric starter gets you up and running at the push of a button. Weight is kept low by the use of a lithium-ion battery, and the electric start’s unique design means that the engine’s compact external dimensions are the same size as before.
As soon as you get on this cutting-edge race bike it feels slimmer and more compact. The smaller 6.2-litre fuel tank and redesigned airbox permit the use of new concave shrouds featuring a larger knee grip area that gives added controllability. As well as reducing weight, this slimline bodywork also underlines the feeling of lightness and agility.

YZ250F
The compact new chassis increases agility – and new suspension systems deliver winning performance with class-leading feel. So expect more. Because the all-new Yamaha YZ250F gives you the highest level of tuneable performance ever seen in the 250cc class.
New engine
Exclusive Power Tuner App
New ECU map switch
Lightweight electric starter with lithium-ion battery
The liquid-cooled, DOHC 4-valve, 250cc fuelinjected engine features a forward-positioned straight downdraft intake with symmetrical intake and exhaust ports. A new highercompression piston and new valves deliver outstanding engine character with a focus on top-end power delivery and the lighter cylinder is more upright to improve mass-centralisation.
Like the flagship YZ450F, the all-new YZ250F now features a Communication Control Unit (CCU) as standard. Using the Power Tuner app, you can adjust air/fuel mixture and ignition timing maps to tune engine performance for track conditions, record race log information, monitor a range of data such as maintenance, diagnosis, run time and more.
The new two-mode switchable engine mapping allows you to instantly adjust engine character ‘on the fly’ with the push of a button, making it easy to fine tune the YZ250F for changing track or weather conditions while riding, or in between motos or practice sessions.
Mounted near the chassis centre to maintain a good weight balance, the YZ250F’s light and compact new electric starter system ensures instant restarts during races and saves you time and effort. Powered by a high-capacity and ultra-lightweight four-cell lithium-ion battery, the system adds minimal weight.

Log and analyse different settings, and share and compare them or ultimate track-side tuning.
2 strokes. First place
YZ250 If you’ve been around the dirt bike scene for a while you’ll know that the YZ250 has a pretty impressive track record. Over the years this thoroughbred racer has won just about everything worth winning in motocross and supercross. With explosive engine performance and a lightweight aluminium chassis, the YZ250 attracts a loyal following of riders who grew up with 2-strokes. And it’s also caught the attention of a whole new generation of younger riders who just want to get out there and ride.
YZ250
The modern factory bike looks and lean image fits the cool bodywork – and with its YZ-F type forks and rear suspension, the YZ250 is ready to win!
Sharp bodywork and bold graphics

Wide footrests
The YZ250 2-stroke features modern bodywork and graphics that give a light and fresh look. The fenders and fork protectors give a sharp image, while the side covers and seat cover underline the fresh look – and to underline the ‘factory bike’ style we’ve fitted the air scoops with new graphics.
The 48mm upside down front forks are similar to the design used on our YZ-F 4-strokes, and feature a separate air/oil system that prevents air from entering the cartridge for more stable damping. The forks run with special YZ250specific settings, and give a light and agile handling characteristic.
The new YZ250 is equipped with a smooth Monocross rear suspension system consisting of a swingarm, shock and linkage taken from the YZ-F 4-stroke bikes. This system offers outstanding shock absorption characteristics together with good traction for holeshot-winning performance.
The YZ250 2-stroke benefits from a range of features that have come straight from our latest YZ-F 4-stroke models. The wide footrests give additional support of controllability during aggressive riding – and there’s also an modern clutch adjuster for easy tool-free adjustments to cable slack.

YZ85 LW The YZ85 LW is a legend in the youth motocross scene. It’s the bike that inspired many of today’s top professional racers and helped them on their path to MX glory. And with its increased performance, the new YZ85 LW is the dirt bike that can turn young riders’ dreams into reality. Its all-new 85cc liquid-cooled 2-stroke engine comes with a Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) that delivers a wider spread of explosive power giving genuine advantage over the competition.
YZ85 LW
With fully adjustable forks, wave-type front and rear discs and adaptable ergonomics, the new YZ85 LW has the technology to launch riders all the way to the top.
Powerful new 85cc engine with YPVS
Plastic resin reed valves and optimised exhaust
Newly designed 36mm KYB® inverted forks
New wave-type discs, with rigid brake hoses
The new 85cc liquid cooled engine features the Yamaha Power Valve System (YPVS) that boosts overall performance and contributes towards the bike’s easy to use torque. Running with a higher compression ratio – and equipped with a close ratio 6-speed transmission – the YZ85 LW delivers outstanding acceleration with race winning power.
All-new high-performance intake and exhaust systems match the new YPVS so that optimum potential can be achieved as soon as the gate drops. Plastic resin reed valves and a new expansion chamber deliver controllable power with explosive acceleration – and a heart-stirring ripple – exactly when needed, to keep you way ahead of the competition.
Specially machined one-piece tapered outer tubes that align well with the rigidity balance of the frame, with 36mm inner tubes, the front forks provide optimised damping settings. With fully adjustable low friction cartridge forks, the YZ85 LW has the most sophisticated design ever used on a youth YZ motocross bike. With newly designed fork guards, this high-tech front end is built to master even the most demanding terrain.

Welcome to the victorYZone
YZ65 Yamaha won its first World MX Championship before most of today’s aspiring young motocross riders were born – and we’ve always believed in building dirt bikes for everyone, from kids through to seasoned pros. Featuring a race-bred specification that’s inspired by the flagship YZ450F, the new YZ65 youth motocross bike is the perfect start for any rider who is serious about racing. With an all-new engine and chassis, this high-tech 2-stroke delivers easy-touse power together with stable handling for enhanced rider confidence.
YZ65
Equipped with cool YZ450F-inspired bodywork, stylish Yamaha blue rims and an ergonomic riding position, the YZ65 is the choice of future champions.
Smooth and easy to use power
Light and stable handling
Effortless 6-speed transmission
Confident cornering
The newly developed 65cc liquid cooled engine is one of the most advanced in its class and features a race-developed crankcase reed valve induction system for instant throttle response. A key feature is the race-developed YPVS (Yamaha Power Valve System) that gives smooth torque and power characteristics, making the YZ65 an ideal bike for young racers.
The YZ65 is equipped with a new semi-double cradle steel frame that features an aluminium subframe, giving light and stable handling and easy agility. To soak up the harshest bumps this class-leading motocross bike comes with 36mm KYB upside down front forks, an aluminium swing arm and link-less Monocross rear suspension. These main components combine to provide stability in the air and consistent lap times.
The 6-speed transmission features carefully chosen gear ratios that have been specially developed to enable the rider to achieve lower lap times by fully utilising the performance of the 65cc engine. Yamaha engineers have also designed the clutch plates and springs to give a light and easy clutch lever character.
The 36mm KYB upside down front forks underline the fact that the YZ65 shares the same pure racing DNA that goes into our other YZ models. With their excellent rigidity, they give a planted front-end feel for confident cornering – and their long-travel tubes are built to soak up the bumpiest surfaces.

The bike for all reasons.
WR450F Yamaha’s WR-F enduro bikes are proving their winning potential in everything from Enduro GP and Enduro 2 through to Cross Country Rallies and the legendary Dakar – the toughest test there can be for any enduro bike. Featuring a powerful new engine together with an agile new chassis and slimline bodywork developed from the YZ450F, the all-new WR450F gives you race winning performance with class leading versatility and legendary reliability. Its wide power delivery can be tuned via onboard WiFi with the Power Tuner app* – and with a slim and agile chassis, the 2019 WR450F is the smartest and most complete enduro bike in any environment. From enduro through to rally, trail or recreational riding, this is the bike for all reasons.
WR450F
* In order to use Yamaha’s Power Tuner app to tune your 2019 WR450F engine via a smartphone, you will require the Communication Control Unit (CCU) that is part of the optional racing kit.
All-new 450cc engine
New Power Tuner App
New adjustable engine modes
New YZ450F-based lightweight beam frame
For 2019 the WR450F benefits from an all-new reverse head engine that’s designed to give you an even wider spread of smoother and more controllable power. New camshafts, cylinder head and piston give a higher compression ratio for increased performance and revised fuel injection settings and new ignition mapping gives you improved control in technical terrain.
Yamaha’s Power Tuner app allows you to adapt your WR450F’s engine character and performance to suit different riding conditions – and you can also access engine data. Using your smartphone with the Communication Control Unit (CCU) that is part of the optional racing kit, it’s easy to adjust the air-fuel mixture and ignition timing to achieve optimum performance.
When you’re riding in the dirt you’ve got to be prepared to encounter constantly changing surface conditions as well as extreme weather. With the new switchable engine modes you can now select the appropriate power delivery using the handlebar mounted switch, enabling you to take control and everything from slow, technical terrain through to high-speed tracks.
The all-new frame is slimmer and lighter, making it feel much more agile through twisty, rocky and technical terrain. The aluminium bilateral beam frame is constructed with optimised levels of rigidity, giving much lighter handling together with accurate surface feedback – enabling you to maintain higher levels of control over bumps and on slippery surfaces.

Rightfully wrong.
WR250F At Yamaha we’re leaders not followers - so we like to do things our way. When you take a look at the WR250F’s high-tech ‘reverse’ engine, you’ll see that what may look ‘wrong’ to some people is absolutely right for you! For improved power and rev feeling this winning 4-stroke gets a whole range of engine performance upgrades inspired by our Enduro World Championship race bikes. For class leading handling and cornering characteristics there’s a compact YZ250F-based aluminium chassis with optimised suspension settings.
WR250F
New graphics and blue rims give you the genuine factory look. With Yamaha durability and quality as standard, this bike is the right way to go.
Revolutionary 250cc 4-stroke engine
Reverse cylinder head
Compact YZ250F-type aluminium chassis
Mass centralisation
Equipped with 4 titanium valves, the revolutionary rear slanted liquid cooled 250cc fuel-injected DOHC 4-stroke engine gets a remapped ECU giving optimised power and an improved rev limiter. For balanced power output with boosted reliability, the bottom end features a revised crank balance ratio and a nickelchromoly steel con rod.
The reverse cylinder head has shorter intake and exhaust ports for stronger top end power, while cams and valve springs enhance the low to mid range torque. And for a broad band of balanced performance, the WR250F gets a lightweight flat top piston and hardened DLC-coated low friction piston pin, as well as a crank and con rod.
To optimise the performance gains of the upgraded engine, the WR250F comes with a lightweight YZ250F-based bilateral aluminum beam frame. Its compact design offers an idealised balance of strength and rigidity, giving you the confidence and ability to take full control over all types of extreme terrain, at low and high speeds.
The mass centralised design is a concept we pioneered, and it’s what gives the WR250F the edge over the competition. By locating major components like the fuel tank, cylinder and exhaust system close to the centre of the chassis, we’ve been able to create an enduro bike whose agile handling gives the Yamaha rider a real advantage - all day long.
