About
sun Issues: Diseases Children Rights Rights of people with disabilities
●The SUN handicapped caring program is based on AIESEC working system, aiming at the development and perfection of Chinese special education, raising the public attention to it and providing healthy, colorful and equal living environment for the China special children. The program is planned to start the first term in June 2015. ●We look highly of trainees’ shining ideas, and we hope every trainee can bring a warm heart for children in need to Beijing, and always actively speak out your ideas! ●We run the project with layers according to different situations of NGOs and are also seeking any related supporting institution like art gallery and theater to give the project larger stage for kids and trainees. ● Meanwhile, we are seeking opportunities to connect with special education institution and experts to better understand current situation of this issue. Also we have the thought to connect with normal elementary schools and let trainees teach them case of disabled crowd, and arrange art performances which both kids can join together. 2
Job Description ● What you usually do in caring center in your working hours from Monday to Friday is to be a volunteer to help those teachers teach them, communicate with them, play with them and take care of them. Also, you can design some interesting games for special kids, if center needs. ● Besides usual work, we also hold some charity activities for you to join. We have a plan for holding charity selling for autistic children, autism knowledge sharing in café and community. According to objective factors, we’ll hold some of them on Thursdays or Fridays. You’ll take part in the whole activity process including preparations. All the volunteers in our projects and buddies will work in a team to make those activities happen.
● Special Children: the children you will take care of are those with autism or listening disability. Autistic children are those we called the “angels from the stars”. They can see; they can hear ; they have their own feelings; but, they just don’t know how to express their feelings correctly. They have their own world, though they don’t understand our world. What they need is we people’s care, tolerance, understanding and love, but not pity. Be patient with them, and start a new journey for all of us. ● NGO brief introduction : the place you are going to work in is a special children caring center. There are totally 2 NGOs in our project, and if you join our project , you’ll be working in one of these centers basically according to the center’s requirement and your preference. One of them are caring for autistic children, and the other one, which requires volunteers who can speak Chinese, is for children with hearing disability.

Job Description ● Of course, our project isn’t only designed to work with NGOs and hold activities. You can also have fun from cultural diversity. In your spare time, you can also visit places of interest and enjoy the traditional food with our buddy. You can also walk into the Beijing Hutong, and feel the special culture in Beijing, an ancient city with thousandsyear history.
● You can take part in GCDS in Beijing on July 17-19, mainly for EP in North AIESEC. In that session, you’ll know more about any details that you should pay attention to while you are doing voluntary job in China. It'll start in the evening of July17th,and will finish on July 19th. In that summit, all the EPs from different part of the world will get together to know more about AIESEC MoC, and what they are doing means to the world. We'll arrange 2~3people from our LC to accompany you to make sure everything is OK. But you have to cover the fee to GCDS ,about 350-500 yuan including your accommodation and your food and your transport, also including souvenirs if you want to buy. You'll know a lot of people there, and have fun! 4
Preparation
● Visa is required, and F Visa is preferred. Volunteers are expected to apply visa as suggested by the home LC/country to avoid any future troubles. Volunteers are responsible for your own visa application. ● Health certificate and travelling insurance is a must .In case you are in dangerous situation, insurance will help you a lot. ● Also you are responsible for your plane tickets, passport and relevant papers that must be needed. ● English is a must, and one caring center only requires volunteers who can speak Chinese, so if you can speak a little Chinese, it’ll help a lot. ● You’d better prepare for a traditional talent show from your own country, and design some games for those special children. And you’d better learn some knowledge or specific ways about how to treat such kind of kids in your country or district. ● You should prepare for your country’s flag and your own special cultural stuff, such as Chinese traditional decorating Knot.

Expected Results
● More than 100 children will get help from this project;
● More than 300 people will take part in our activity and understand those special kids better. ● We’ll hold at least 4 activities for helping those special kids.
● We’ll get more than 90% excellent feedback from the society.

Learning Points
●Knowing and understanding more about autistic children and listening disabled
children, and influence others to be tolerant with them in their future life. ● Having a great voluntary experience in China, and want to do more to help the people in need wherever you are. ● Knowing friends from all over the world, working as a team ,and receiving a nice friendship. 7

We’ll hold a welcome party for you, and our project’s members and team leader, and our Vice President in UIBE will celebrate a welcome party and farewell party for you. ● Also, we will always care about your situation in our project, and if you have any question, you can contact us, and we’ll try to solve it as much as we can. ●

Logistics
●Airport
: We’ll arrange people to pick you up, but you’ll cover the transportation fee from the airport to the center for yourself. It’ll be about 50 Yuan. ● Accommodation provided : When you work in the center, the accommodation is for free. You live in the center, and the room is clean, very easy and plain. You share a room with a few people. You can get a shower there, but no Internet access. One of the NGOs doesn’t have the bed, so you may sleep on the ground, of course quilt is freely offered. While we hold the activities, we’ll live in hotels that 6 people a room, and you’ll spend almost 9 days there totally, and you’ll cover the living fee about 50yuan a day, and the living fee is estimated 500600yuan in total.

Logistics
●Food
provided : Still, in the center working days is for free. And during activities, you also have to cover your food yourself. Each meal is about 20 Yuan on average. So food will be about 450~600 Yuan in total. ● transportation not provided: You’ll pay the transportation yourself. Usually, you spend 30-40yuan single from airport to the NGOs in subway. If you want to go out to have fun ,a return needs almost 10-20yuan in subway-it depends on the distance- which is more convenient; while bus can be cheaper within 10yuan though not so convenient. If you take the taxi, it’s very expensive and sometimes you may get stuck in traffic jams. You’ll spend almost 200yuan from airport to the NGOs in a taxi. So we recommend the bus and the subway that are more convenient for you to take.

Legal
You should be prepared for your F visa in your own country, and we’ll provide you an invitation letter if you need. ● Health certificate and transportation insurance should be prepared in your own country, and if you need any relevant paper help, you can contact us. ● You can have a vacation on weekends, and if you need, we'll arrange you a buddy to accompany you to travel Beijing. But be responsible to your safety and follow our advice on how to behave in China. Also, if we have activities on Saturday, we strongly recommend you to join the process. ● Lastly, but most importantly, wherever you go on weekends, please communicate with us and the teacher in the center in advance, and make sure we know where you are going to make sure that we can help you in case you are in trouble ●
