Students can post. tweets, share pictures, and update their status to keep their friends informed about their activities, thoughts, and experiences. Organize and discover student-led events, workshops, and activities within your campus and beyond. Expand your network and connect with students from different colleges, majors, and backgrounds. UniVerse breaks down geographical barriers, fostering connections and collaborations.
Enter
Upon arriving at the website, users can seamlessly access its content by simply clicking on the enter button. The frontend was meticulously crafted utilizing the efficient framework of ReactJS, ensuring a smooth and dynamic user experience. Complementing this, Node.js powers the backend, facilitating seamless communication and data handling.
Register
After clicking the enter button, you'll be directed to the register page, where registration is exclusive to users with a college email address. All entered details are securely stored in a MongoDB database, ensuring data integrity and accessibility. If you're already registered, simply click on the login option to access your account seamlessly.
Username
Upon reaching the login page, users are prompted to input their username. Only those who have successfully registered with their college email address are granted access to proceed to the password page. This streamlined process ensures that only authorized users navigate further, enhancing security measures and safeguarding sensitive information.
Password
Upon reaching the password page, users input their credentials, and upon verification, are seamlessly directed to the main home page, unlocking access to the platform's full array of features and content. In the event of a forgotten password, simply click on the recover button. This initiates a secure process to regain access to the account.
Recover
Upon reaching the recovery page, an OTP (One-Time Password) is swiftly dispatched to the registered email address, serving as a secure verification method. Upon entering the correct OTP, users are directed to the password reset page, where they can securely update their credentials.
Reset
Upon reaching the reset page, users are presented with the opportunity to input their new password, allowing them to securely update their credentials. Once the new password is set, users are seamlessly redirected back to the login page, where they can now proceed to authenticate with their updated login information.
Home
Upon arriving at the home page, users are greeted with a display of posts originating from various colleges. This collection offers users the opportunity to stay informed about happenings and discussions across different educational institutions. Users can access updates from Twitter on the platform, ensuring they remain up-to-date with the latest news, events etc.
Feed
The home page features dual-feed system. The first feed encompasses posts from all colleges, providing a broad spectrum of content and insights from various educational institutions. The second feed is dedicated exclusively to posts originating from the user's registered college. This personalized feed facilitates a deeper sense of engagement within their college community.
Post
To make any post, simply type your desired text into the provided text box and for added visual impact or context, users have the option to attach a file directly from their personal computer. Upon successful posting, the platform dynamically showcases the user's post within the feed, accompanied by a prominent tag displaying the name of their registered college.
Like & Comment
With a simple click, users can express their appreciation for a post by liking it, providing instant feedback and encouragement to fellow community members. Additionally, users can actively participate in discussions and share their thoughts by leaving comments on posts. This interactive feature enriches the user experience, fostering meaningful connections.
