Material Culture Research Group UB, September - December 2011 • Explored ways the culture of materials contributes to our constructive sensibilities. • Learned materials and construction through full scale fabrication, assembly and installation.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCES Small Built Works Program Buffalo, NY September - December 2011 • Designed Fire Pit with a four member team for the Erie Lake Waterfront, met and corresponded with clients to determine client needs for fire pit, developed construction drawings, built physical models. • Developed site plan of 18th Street Park, designed additional benches, built optional models. Barcelona Summer Study Abroad Program Barcelona, Spain May - July 2011 • Experienced architecture and urbanism through the unaccustomed perspective of another culture; • Designed new entrance for Roman Museum, learned how the city grew up in layer and size. • Translated ideas of three Barcelona’s prominent modern painters into constructed environment. Temporary Exhibition Hall Design and Construction SJTU, Shanghai, China February - April 2009 • Designed the temporary exhibition hall in university library, collaborated with Linnan Guo and Tianhui Guo, made detail drawings, tested materials. • Led a twenty person team to construct the exhibition hall in four days.
