WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED AND WHAT DO YOU DO?
I am in Brighton, which is a town of Melbourne, Victoria Australia - I help business owners implement a client care strategy by building great relationships using our system.
HOW AND WHEN DID YOU START YOUR HLN?
I started HeartLink in the October of 2011. I found out about HeartLink as my good friend Lee Cummins brought it out to Australia as she was the Australian Ambassador and it was a great way to build a wonderful community. I run two meetings a month 10-12 and 1-3 on the same day and I love it.
HOW DOES HLN AFFECT YOUR BUSINESS AND LIFE?
HeartLink allows me to create an incredible and supportive environment for business women in my local community... this brings me such joy as over the years I have seen so many businesswomen at the start of their journey build a business they are so proud of and I do believe it’s because of the support they have received from the HeartLink community ... HeartLink has helped raise my profile as the “go-to person” for referrals - I am constantly being asked by many “Hey Dhea do you know a xyzzy” or “Hey Dhea do you know someone who can xyzzy” as a result my business services are put in front of many people who otherwise would not have seen or heard of me. And I think MOST of all the friendships that I have formed with the incredible ladies - Many are lifelong already.
DO YOU HAVE ANY TIPS FOR YOUR HLN SISTER LEADERS?
I guess I really work hard to bring new people to the meetings... I go networking other events and if I see there is a possible business match that we need I extend an invitation for coffee to meet them and get to know them and show them what I do and then invite them to my chapter ... this I think is key to keeping the chapters thriving.. yes the members can invite their friends however I do believe it’s the leaders job to make sure there are a good number of attendees... I believe there is nothing worse when I go to an event and invest my 2 hours and $$ only to see 6-8 people there... we need to ensure there is a good mix of businesswomen who attend so they can then tell others and our reputation blossoms.
