Sugaring

• Sugaring is a food preservation method similar to pickling.


Sugaring • This sugar can be crystalline in the form of a tanble or raw sugar,or it can be a high sugar density liquid such as honey, surup o molasses.


Process of sugaring • Sugaring is the process of dessicating a food by first dehydrating it, then packing it with pure sugar.


Informationg of sugaring The purpose of sugaring is to create an environment hostile to microbial life and prevent food spoilage. Sugaring is commonly used to preserve fruits as well as vegetables such as ginger.

Sugaring is used to preserve fruits like apples, apricots, and plums in sugary syrup that dehydrates the foods. The skin of certain fruits are cooked in sugar till they crystallize and then they are stored in a dry environment.
