October 14-16, 2011 Weekend These unique workshops combine a weekend away in breathtaking Mt. Tremblant with a great opportunity to stretch and strengthen your creativity behind a camera. The vibrant, changing colours of early October create an ideal setting for exploration with creative techniques not found in any photography book. You’ll also enjoy the local night life and cultural events, not to mention highly rated dining and accommodations. Join Yannis in Mt. Tremblant – you will return with images to be proud of and memories to last a lifetime.

MT. TREMBLANT: 3-day weekend, offered 2 times a year October 7-9, 2011 and October 14-16, 2011
A. Workshop Notes 1. There are 6 participants. It’s the right number. 2. People arrive Friday afternoon at 5:00 p.m. at Mount Tremblant Resort. (Instructions are emailed to you). We pick up participants when they arrive at the village. The chalet is right on the mountain. 3. After an hour or so orientation, settling in rooms etc. and getting to know each other, we have dinner. 4. We take a tour of the village, come back to the chalet. 5. Saturday is a full day of field sessions and instructions, starting at 9:00 a.m. after breakfast. The emphasis of these workshops is on creativity and using good design techniques to get a better picture. Needless to say, the environment is spectacular (leaves, sky, village, etc.) Break for lunch and a little rest of course. There are three individual workshop parts: 1. Field, 2. instruction/presentation/ discussions, 3. Assignment Late afternoon, we have critique sessions. 6. Dinner and back to the village for some entertainment. 7. Sunday, after breakfast we give a specific assignment to the group and individually. Lunch of course follows, etc. In the afternoon, we have presentation and more instructions. 9. People usually leave at 4:00-5:00 p.m Sunday afternoon. 10. The fee is $925.00 plus per person. It includes accommodations, dining, workshops, materials, etc. 11. It’s a ton of fun. Itinery Friday, October 7, 14 Arrival, 5 p.m. Arrive at chalet and dinner about 6-7 p.m. Outing at the village about 8 p.m. Back to the chalet at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday, October 8, 15 Breakfast around 8:30 a.m. Field work 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Back to the chalet and lunch 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. Discussion/instruction #1: 1:30 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. Assignment at the old Tremblant Village: 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. Dinner around 7:00 p.m. Around the town: 8:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m. Or later. Sunday, October 9, 16 Breakfast around 8:30 a.m. Field work/assignment around the lakes 9:00 a.m. To 11:30 a.m. Back to the chalet and lunch 12:00 - 1:30 p.m. Instructions/presentation/wrap up 1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

YANNIS SOURIS
Yannis has presented seminars and workshops to hundreds of amateur and pro photographers in Canada and abroad, motivating and inspiring beginners and advanced photographers alike for over a decade. His professional background includes a successful commercial art career, as an award-winning advertising art director, ŠSothea Kham
but it was his interest in photography as an art medium that led him to considerable exposure the past seven years. Yannis has won more than 250 national and international awards both in art direction and photography and he has been recognized three years in a row with Photographer of the Year awards in Ottawa. His photographs and articles on the subject of creativity have been published internationally in magazines like Photo Life, Canadian Camera, Photo Art Magazine, and PhotoDigital. Yannis has also judged several photography and design competitions over the past ten years. As a fine art photographer, he has exhibited his work in more than 20 galleries. Official web site:
