Introduction
A cocktail is defined as an iced drink made from a spirit and a modifier. A few examples of spirits are rum, gin, tequila and bourbon; and a few examples of modifiers are milk, soft drinks, or juices. A true classic cocktail is a drink of subtlety and depth of taste, where one ingredient perfectly match with another to create an concoction of no more than two alcoholic ingredient. There are a few sources on the origination of how did the name ‘cocktail’ came about but nobody truly knows the real story. But, in all the stories, I will talk my favorites story of the public who during the American war of independence lost one of his finest fighting cockerels. He was so sad until the day a soldier came with the same cockerel. He is very happy and thus he made a special mixed concoction and serve it to the soldier with the phrase “to the cock’s tail” as a toast. So this is one of the stories where the cocktail word came from.
