ANTI - AIRCRAGT MISSILE PROTECTING RANGE
TRACE
Design for restoration and reconstruction of military remains The project is located at the missile base on top of the Devínska Kobyla National Nature Reserve in Bratislava. It was originally purposed for defending aircraft attacks and it served until late Cold War. as the troops left in 1990, the base is abandoned and re-occupied with nature. This proposal aims to create a warming sign on the former military site to remind people of the impact of wars on the land, nation, and individuals. Pocket park for public health improvement in high-density cities This is a derelict and fragmented space located between a neighbourhood and the central business district of Shanghai. Small parks in high density cities play an important role in improving the health of different age groups. This project focuses specifically on people who need a break from work and children and the elderly who need to move safely through accessibility and planting design to improve the status of grey urban land and create a healthy and safe space for people to move around. RESHAPE
Design for the renewal of old communities based on community life circles
8
This project is located in an old community in Tianjin, which is relatively far from urban and neighborhood parks. Moreover, its complex road network and fragmented inner open space provide few platform for community activity. The amount of green space and diversified outdoor programs need to be introduced. This project will utilize redeveloped as green house and outdoor theater, enhance the sense of well-being and belonging in the living environment.

Renovation design for the river and market in rural area The design site is located in the rural area of Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. Most residents gather in the streets and along the river for spontaneous activities, and the space is crowded and unplanned. By building simple structural installations from local materials, the design translates into different functions for the local residents depending on the time and space. The monolithic design is constantly reorganised and changed in the site in order to optimize it. RURAL WOODEN PACILLION WORKSHOP The Silhouette Pavilion is a spatial corridor created by defining parameters for the site's texture, existing movement, and seasonal changes in the peanut and rape fields. From a distance, it appears to be a kinetic sculpture that changes appearance depending on the angle from which it is viewed, whereas up close, the installation introduces environmental parameters such as light and changing scenery, and through the design of the external space with a variety of materials, people can experience a different landscape when using the gallery. The design is implemented based on structural analysis, material and environmental evaluation, and functional and site considerations. The workshop provides a comprehensive experience of the implementation of the design, from site preparation, material preparation, project and staff management, use of tools, control of environmental factors to the actual construction. 20
