Tram service changes St Kilda Road tram track renewal Routes 3/3a, 5, 6, 8, 16, 55, 64, 67 and 72 Good Friday 6 April to Wednesday 11 April 2012
/ŵƉŽƌƚĂŶƚ ƐĞƌǀŝĐĞ ŝŶĨŽƌŵĂƟŽŶ Yarra Trams is renewing tram tracks in St Kilda Road between Commercial Road and Domain Interchange from Good Friday (6 April) over the Easter Break to Wednesday 11 April. Also over the Easter long weekend, there will be track maintenance work between Domain Interchange and Southbank Boulevard. The following tram service changes will apply:
Good Friday to Easter Monday – Map 1 Routes 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72 trams will be replaced by buses between Commercial Road and the Arts Precinct. Route 8 trams will be replaced by buses between the Arts Precinct and Toorak terminus. ShuƩle trams will operate between the Arts Precinct and Melbourne University. Route 55 trams will operate between West Coburg and City Road (no service between Domain Interchange and City Road). Route 1 will operate as normal.
Tuesday 10 and Wednesday 11 April – Map 2 Routes 3/3a, 5, 6, 16, 64, 67 and 72 trams will be replaced by buses between Commercial Road and the Arts Precinct. ShuƩle trams will operate between the Arts Precinct and Melbourne University. Routes 1, 8 and 55 will operate as normal.
Planning your trip Please allow extra Ɵme for your journey. There may be some delays to tram services in St Kilda Road as they approach the bus transfer point, south of Commercial Road. The closure of the centre lanes of St Kilda Road is expected to create traĸc congesƟon in St Kilda Road aīecƟng tram replacement bus services.
