Important service ŝŶĨŽƌŵĂƟŽŶ

Routes 1 and 8 from East Coburg and Moreland will terminate in Lygon Street at Stop 112 Elgin Street. All Swanston Street services heading towards Melbourne University will terminate at Stop 8 Melbourne Central. A tram replacement bus service will operate between Stop 8 Melbourne Central and Stop 11ϯ LyƩon Street and Lygon Street. 55

Passengers travelling north can change to the tram replacement bus near Stop 8 Melbourne Central outside the State Library.

Passengers from Moreland and East Coburg can change to the bus in Lygon Street at Stop 112 Elgin Street. The bus travels via Lygon Street, Russell Street and La Trobe Street to connect with southbound Swanston Street tram services at Stop 8 Melbourne Central. Please see the map for details.

Routes 1, 3a, 5, 6, 8, 16, 64, 67 & 72 trams terminate at Stop 8 Melbourne Central. Tram replacement bus passengers change here.

dZ D^ĨŽƌŵĂƟŽŶ ŝŶ ƉƌŽŐƌĞƐƐ Yarra Trams is renewing tram tracks and construcƟng the foundaƟons for a pair of accessible tram stops as part of the City of Melbourne’s Swanston Street redevelopment. The Swanston Street redevelopment will feature accessible tram stops and streetscape enhancements including street lighƟng and paving as well as new street furniture. While Yarra Trams will renew the tram tracks over the weekend of 5 and 6 May, the City of Melbourne will conƟnue with works to complete the accessible tram stops and other streetscape improvements.
