Traditions
“Traditions” is an artist-selected exhibition of thirty large-size photographs on the topic of Bulgarian customs. It represents an expressive mixture of images, capturing some of the most explicit Bulgarian traditions, including moments of the everyday lives of different ethnic and religious groups living together in the county. Some of the customs captured are Epiphany, the day of St Todor, vigil at Krastova gora and Demir teke, traditional Kazalbashki fair, wedding in the Rhodoppi village of Ribnovo, fire-dancing and fire-related rituals and mummer-masks.
