YANA BASHURA
reDESIGN 2013 - COLLECTION THAT WAS DESIGNED FOR A KNOLL
TEXTILES AND TEXTILE MUSEUM COLLABORATION SHOW. INSPIRATION CAME FROM THE GEOMETRICAL PATTERNS OF THE KNOLL UPHOLSTERY FABRIC THAT I WAS GIVEN TO WORK WITH. I WANTED TO DESIGN STRUCTURAL PIECES THAT WOULD ALSO HAVE A VERY SOFT/LINGERIE-LIKE FEEL TO THEM.
BEIGE BAMBOO JERSEY DRESS WITH ASSYMETRICAL PLEATED SLEEVES AND BARK WEAVE INSERTS
BROWN LEATHERETTE CAGE DRESS
LINGERIE COLLECTION DESIGNED FOR A GREEK MYTHOLOGY INSPIRED MANNEQUIN. THE INSPIRATION CAME FROM THE MYTH ABOUT A GREEK NYMPH CALYPSO. YOU CAN SEE HOW THE INSPIRATION REFLECTED IN THE DESIGNS AS WELL AS THE FABRIC REWORK DETAILS LIKE THE RUFFLES, PLEATING AND GOLD FEATHERS.
