Wolves are fairly common as well, and some trips in late March and early April will be treated with some of the first grizzly and black bear sightings of the year.
2 and 3 Day Wolf/ Wildlife-Viewing Tours yellowstone wildlife adventures If you are looking for a quick and wild weekend getaway, fly into Bozeman, MT, a d e ill take ou for a or da trip to Yello sto e s Norther Ra ge. Most of Yello sto e s isitors head to Old Faithful duri g the i ter, here the wildlife heads to the north side for easier feeding. Lodging is at Chico Hot Springs, Gardiner or Cooke City, MT. Enjoy a walk and/ or cross country ski through the terraces at Mammoth Hot Springs, ski to Tower Falls and soak in hot waters. The quietest month of the year is November, this is the month where most of the park is closed, and the Northern Range is all that is open. Large predators can be hit and miss at this time of year, because they often follow hunters outside of the park. Our guides actually like November, because this is the only month left where we can cover a 50 mile stretch of highway, twice, and often see less than 30 other vehicles (most admin). No people!
Big Sky To Jackson Hole Ski Trips Two of the biggest mountains in the US, two of the most beautiful national parks in the World, and more wildlife than humans, this is a ski trip not to be missed. There is more to see than on just about any other ski vacation in the world. Big Mountain skiing, away from large metropolitan areas, wildlife numbering in the thousands and steamy geysers against a blue winter sky all await you on this once in a lifetime adventure. We have noticed living at Big Sky that many people like to take a day off in the middle of their ski trip to rest their legs. Why not take a couple of days, and travel across Yellowstone by snowcoach, isiti g the orld s first atio al park opposite of the ig ro ds i the summer, then hitting up another ski area legend for the rest of the week? Soak in hot springs, see the wildlife of the Naorthern Range, and visit Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Winter is the best time to beat the crowds, and the skiing is excellent as well.
