FALL READY-TO-WEAR COLLECTION



For Fall 2015 Valentino Ready-to-Wear was inspired by Emilie Flรถge and Celia Birtwell, two women who were both artists and muses. Flรถge gave the designers the collection's gentle A-line silhouettes and the gold leaf effects on fox-fur coats, as well as quilted velvet coats. Birtwell, who is still alive and kicking and collaborated with Maria Grazia Chiuri and Piccioli on their PreFall collection, supplied the dragon motif that decorated a black trapeze dress.

It is a show of marvelous work that has been studied carefully from Haute Couture and Prêt-à-Porter to an extensive accessories collection that includes bags, shoes, small leather goods, belts, eyewear, silks and perfumes Valentino’s devotion to uniqueness and dedication is expressed through an endless variety of silhouettes, ideas, images, and projects. Its products were designed for an ideal elegant woman inspired by her couture clothes and lifestyle and by her desire to make a statement, stand out from the crowd, and live life to the fullest. Executing and examining every luxury product and textile is what keeps our brand loyal to our customers. We would like to collaborate and introduce you to the world of Valentino.


MAISON VALENTINO One of the most storied brands in the world was established in 1960 by the legendary fashion designer Valentino Garavani and his business partner Giancarlo Giammetti, Valentino S.p.A. Valentino’s historic headquarters on Piazza Mignanelli are a genuine legend. This Spring Summer 2015 Valentino Introduces the C-Rockee Zodiac Tote bag in 12 different models dedicated to your Zodiac sign. A pendant with the symbol of the gatherings for each sign of the zodiac. A palette that plays with four different colors, are the noticeable features of the collection, made of calfskin. The logo of the brand Valentino is stamped in gold on the back of the bag, which becomes very functional with the soft texture that suits every woman's needs. Match your zodiac sign to your fringed tote bag and let the stars align.

GIVING: Today's young people are the first generation that has never known a world without HIV and AIDS. In the United States, almost 40 percent of new HIV infections are young people ages 13 to 29. Despite this harsh reality, young people and their allies are determined to end this pandemic once and for all. Valentino Is proud supporter of Advocates for Youth champions efforts that help young people make informed and responsible decisions about their reproductive and sexual health. Advocates believes it can best serve the field by boldly advocating for a more positive and realistic approach to adolescent sexual health. Advocates focuses its work on young people ages 14-25 in the U.S. and around the globe.


THE CREATIVE DIRECTORS In October 2008, Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli were named Valentino Creative Directors. The duo has been credited with rejuvenating the brand via highly-successful and well-received collections that stayed true to the brand’s legacy of half a century while moving the design aesthetic forward with designs that are at once feminine and contemporary. Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli, who has worked under Valentino Garavani’s for over a decade, contribute to the international success of the new accessories project, display all the best assets. A corporate-centric approach and an extremely talented in house design team. The duo deubuted their first Haute Couture collection in Paris in January 2009, demonstrating the ability to fully understand and interpret the world of Valentino, the vision was applauded universally. Hollowood stars, socialites and fashion leaders were swept by their exquisite creations. Both directors understand the Valentino woman and capture the essence of the world of contemporary women, portraying its changes and evolution. 50 years of designing, how do you keep-up? Every decade has been different. Today how people dress is very different than it used to be. People are more in a budget and just need a dress for a special occasion. I have no problem dressing a woman. Besides a good dress is what every woman needs! What was your least favorite decade? I hated the 80’s fashion. Women were too crazy with their clothes the looks were not beautiful at all. I still managed to survive. What competitor do you have most respect for? I’m very close friends with Karl Lagerfeld. I like what he does, he has lots of talent. And I was a very, very, very great admirer of Yves Saint Laurent. Mr. Garavani if the young Valentino met your brand today what would he say? He would be very very very proud and happy because I was always a dreamer. My mother used to say, you think of stupid things all the time Can you tell us something interesting that we don’t know about you? Well I am a big dog lover, I have six pugs: Milton, Monty, Maude, Margot, Maggie, and Molly. All with an “M”


Who was your inspiration to become a designer? As a young man I have always admired fashion. I had many Mentors, but the person who introduced me to fashion was my aunt Rosa. How old were you when you landed your first job? My first job was with courturier Jean Desses in 1950, I was only 18 years old!! How do you get inspired for a collection? I have never inspired my collections on women. I dress them but I don’t use them as an inspiration. I am a big dreamer, I love to admire the beauty around me and everywhere I go. I inspire myself while I dream. What is in your night stand? I am a big dreamer as I have said. I always keep a notebook and a pen next to me while I dream of dresses. You have dresses many celebrities and public figures, who has been the biggest privilege to dress? Jackie Kennedy, she was a very dear friend.
