MISSION STATEMENT Since 1927, the Yeshivah of Flatbush has stood at the forefront of American Jewish education and has set the standard of excellence emulated by other academic institutions. It has imbued its students with a thirst for knowledge, a commitment to Zionism, a love of the Hebrew language and the dedication to serve the greater Jewish and secular communities. The school’s philosophy is a synthesis of Judaic studies, liberal arts, and extracurricular activities that places great emphasis on the students’ character development. It has evolved into a unique complement of Jewish and American values that focuses on all aspects of education and enables our graduates to meet the challenges of college and life. Well into our ninth decade, we look forward to continuing the traditions of excellence, innovation and leadership that have made us a world-renowned institution . Dear Class of 2007 Alumni, Congratulations on reaching this monumental milestone - the 10th anniversary of your graduation from the Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School! It was a great pleasure to welcome you back to your Alma Mater and it was wonderful to see so many of you celebrating together again. Many thanks to the members of the Reunion Committee who worked tirelessly so the reunion would be a night to remember. The reunion was a night for nostalgia, a time to see old friends and recall the fun you had together as well as the exceptional education you received. We are proud to count you among our alumni and commend you all for your personal and professional achievements, your community involvement and your devotion to Am Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael. Thank you for continuing the Flatbush tradition and for carrying forward the enduring legacy of our Yeshivah. Our goal is to reconnect with our graduates and connect our alumni to one another in the same unbreakable way as the lifelong friendships you formed in high school. We encourage you to stay in touch and become involved in our programs, campaigns, and events. Being an active alum is not only personally rewarding, but also provides you an opportunity to make a difference for others in the community. Your support, and that of other alumni, benefits current and future students and sustains the Yeshivah of Flatbush. It was a joy coordinating your 10th Reunion - Mazal Tov and Mabrook to the Class of 2007! Sincerely Yours, Hila Stern Director of Development

Since graduation, I earned my BSBA from Boston University with a concentration in Entrepreneurship. I have six years of experience overseeing both residential and commercial properties for my family’s real estate firm. Three and a half years ago, I married my best friend, Shir. We used to live on the Upper East Side (2 blocks from friend Alex Arber Sultan) but moved to Philadelphia in Summer 2017. Shir is Israeli by birth but grew up in Boston, so I am still explaining to him normal Brooklyn sayings such as "sleeping by my friend" and not using the word "the" before saying train e.g. "I'm taking train there." While not on the job, I leverage my skills volunteering for the UJA-Federation of New York, where I served as a board member for the Employment and Self-Sufficiency Committee, whose mission is to create and fund programs that teach employment skills to New Yorkers to help break the cycle of poverty. #LivingherBestLyfe

Doris Cohen (Dweck) 1807 East 4th Street Brooklyn, NY 11223 718-375-4556 dorisdweck@gmail.com After graduation, I attended Hunter College and graduated with a degree in English and a concentration in Creative Writing for poetry in 2011. During college, I attended two month-long programs in seminaries in Israel and also heavily practiced makeup application for work. I then attended and graduated from the Allegra Franco School of Educational Leadership and pursued Torah learning through the Sephardic Community Alliance. I began teaching in Barkai Yeshivah in 2012. I have been teaching Middle School Judaic Studies - specifically Mishna and Halakha- to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade girls since 2013. I married Daniel Cohen (HS '06) in 2013 and received a Master's Degree in English Literature from Brooklyn College in the spring of 2015. Daniel and I had our daughter, Sophia, in December 2015. In 2016, I opened a retail store called Junk Free Beauty, (through which I also am able to continue makeup application, an important artistic outlet) following a passion for incorporating healthy and safe products into our everyday lives which Baruch Hashem, is still successfully up and running. I very much love teaching, and feel privileged to be able to impart Torah to our community's youth every day in a school whose values so perfectly align with my own and those of the traditional Sephardic leaders. If you could see a teacher from High School - who would it be? DOC! “Looking forward to catching up with many of you again, although Facebook has made it easy to keep track. Mark Pariente-Cohen 2111 East 4th Street Brooklyn, NY 11223 917-804-2086 markypc3@gmail.com Since graduation, I earned 647 credits after 7 years in academia studying at Machon Lev, The Jerusalem College of Technology. During that time and until now, I've managed to build a keyboard system that broke “keyloggers”, started working with Bitcoin in January 2009, built Lev Ha'Ofek (Israel's bid to achieve the Google Lunar X-Prize, merged with another Israeli team in 2010, SpaceIL, now in 1st place and poised to win), got married and had 3 kids, moved back and forth between the US and Israel several tim es (now living in Brooklyn, NY), founded Mindweaver and Mindweaver Labs, interviewed for Y Combinator, completed Y Combinator Startup School, built several products that failed, went totally broke, built a cross country wireless VPN, augmented reality warehouse management and operating systems, taught computer science in 5 different schools, and learned Dialectical Behavior Therapy. I still have never purposely excluded anyone from any activity I've ever done. I've learned how to continue developing, and to be an entrepreneur with zero cash in the bank. Although I may feel like I have yet to achieve my goals in the past 10 years, I realize that my wife and children are truly the most important people in my life and that I prefer to play with my children rather than eat steak. The most important things in life are not necessarily controlled by money. If you could see a teacher from High School - who would it be? Dr. Dorhoffer, Mrs. Agassi, Mr. Paul Cohen
