MISSION STATEMENT Since 1927, the Yeshivah of Flatbush has stood at the forefront of American Jewish education and has set the standard of excellence emulated by other academic institutions. It has imbued its students with a thirst for knowledge, a commitment to Zionism, a love of the Hebrew language and the dedication to serve the greater Jewish and secular communities. The school’s philosophy is a synthesis of Judaic studies, liberal arts, and extracurricular activities that places great emphasis on the students’ character development. It has evolved into a unique complement of Jewish and American values that focuses on all aspects of education and enables our graduates to meet the challenges of college and life. Well into our ninth decade, we look forward to continuing the traditions of excellence, innovation and leadership that have made us a world-renowned institution. Dear Class of 1967 Alumni, Congratulations on reaching this monumental milestone - the 50th anniversary of your graduation from the Yeshivah of Flatbush Joel Braverman High School! It was a great pleasure to welcome you back to your Alma Mater and it was wonderful to see so many of you celebrating together again. Many thanks to the members of the Reunion Committee who worked tirelessly so the reunion would be a day to remember. The reunion was a night for nostalgia, a time to see old friends and recall the fun you had together as well as the exceptional education you received. We are proud to count you among our alumni and commend you all for your personal and professional achievements, your community involvement and your devotion to Am Yisrael and Medinat Yisrael. Thank you for continuing the Flatbush tradition and for carrying forward the enduring legacy of our Yeshivah. Our goal is to reconnect with our graduates and connect our alumni to one another in the same unbreakable way as the lifelong friendships you formed in high school. We encourage you to stay in touch and become involved in our programs, campaigns, and events. Being an active alum is not only personally rewarding, but also provides you an opportunity to make a difference for others in the community. Your support, and that of other alumni, benefits current and future students and sustains the Yeshivah of Flatbush. It was a joy coordinating your 10th Reunion - Mazal Tov and Mabrook to the Class of 1967! Sincerely Yours,
Hila Stern Director of Development

I still lein as I use to when I was younger. Besides journal articles on mathematics, I have several journal articles on Rashi and Midrash. Jeffrey Hiller 10 Box Street Brooklyn, NY 11222 lawyergarbage@gmail.com After Flatbush I attended Nassau Community College and came within 47 credits of graduating. Realizing that school was not for me, I took my baby sitting money, borrowed from family and friends and invested all my sweat and creativity into building the most opulent roller disco in New York. Unfortunately the craze passed just days before our grand opening. This experience didn't get me down (although I can't say the same for my family and friends). Sensing a new wave, I immediately sold the fixtures, borrowed some more money from other family and friends, and secured the exclusive license to import Nehru jackets. Although I've had my challenges I did manage to have a wife and 2 sons but we don't speak.

Ira Kevelson 2656 Mill Avenue Brooklyn, NY 11234 718-241-0565 irakevelson@gmail.com In a real sense I never left the Yeshivah of Flatbush because my wife Marsha has taught in the elementary school for 35years. (We have been married for 45 years.) We have three children all of whom graduated from the elementary and high school and we now have three grandchildren. We just learned that one of them will be competing in the Mini Maccabee swimming tournament for the Mid-Atlantic region. I began my professional career in the tax Department of Price Waterhouse, left to cofound a tax accounting firm which my partner and I merged into a regional accounting firm and I recently retired from that firm. Throughout my tax accounting career, I ran my own law practice and continue to do so. I practice real estate, corporate, estate planning and tax law. I am a licensed certified public accountant and am admitted to practice law in New York State, the United States Tax Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. I am a member of the NYS Bar Association’s Committee on Condominiums and Cooperatives. I am on the board of LD Resources Foundation, a not-for-profit that distributes assistive technology to learning disabled college students.

David Koenigsberg 26 Chaim Vital Jerusalem, Israel 718-969-6503 davd5@neto.net.il Immediately after graduation, I went off to post-6 Day-War Israel, for a year at the Kerem b 'Yavneh hesder yeshiva. Then I attended college at YU and had the great fortune to study with Rav Lichtenstein and Rav Soloveitchik. After YU semicha program and an MS in Jewish History, I married Ruthie Willig (a Ramaz graduate!) an MSW from Wurzweiler. Finished a PhD in school psychology and in 1979 made Aliyah to Yerushalayim. Worked in the gan shikumi (rehabilitation nursery) and pediatric neurology department at Bikur Cholim Hospital, taught at various religious teacher colleges, helped set up several educational programs. These past 35 years have been exclusively in private practice as a consulting psychologist with children and teenagers. Briefly saw combat in the First Lebanon War, followed by 10 years as a miluim (reserve duty) family psychologist on an Air Force base. Enjoyed raising our 6 children. Sons and son-in-laws learn and teach in yeshivot tzioniot, one works in The Prime Minister's Office, 2 daughters teach, 1 is a music therapist, 1 studying speech therapy. One son-in-law is now on a 3-year rabbinical shlichut in Warsaw where he and my daughter took "ulpan" in Polish. My Flatbush memories are of laughing and intelligent conversations with good-natured classmates. Mr. Joel Braverman!! Dr. David Birnbaum and Susie Shulder's 'big sister' at the Library. Stimulating teachers Mrs. Toy, Rav Mann, Mrs. Grey, Rav Gruzman (I met him one shabbat afternoon in Tel Aviv and he immediately remembered a whole list of us!), Rav Chen (in the swimming pool at Nir Etzion he spontaneously began another rendition of his heavily Yemenited "Harari baSadeh ‌"), and the unforgettable Abraham Carmel ( twice a year I stop by his grave at Eretz haChaim cemetery), the debating teams and newspapers. Yoav Elstein, who when I met him here was a professor of Chassidut at Bar Ilan. Going to JTS after their library's fire and attending a school journalism conference at Columbia University. Feeling more and more connected to a far-away and unknown and unfamiliar Israel. There was an atmosphere of pursuing excellence and feeling the world was just waiting for all of us.
Abe B. Krieger 3 Robin Way Great Neck, NY 11021-1025 516-773-4837 abk@akriegerlaw.com I have been doing what I love practicing law - for 42 years and I am currently in private practice, as of May 1, 2018 and also represents Retail Worx as Real Estate Counsel. I was a partner and of counsel to Meyer Suozzi, formerly chairing the Real Estate Dept. from 2007-2016. My practice focused on representing commercial landlords and tenants in matters involving real estate lending, acquisition and sale transactions and real estate and commercial litigation including representing title companies defending titles and enforceability and foreclosability of mortgages. I am admitted to practice law in New York and before the US District Court, Supreme Court and Tax Court. Most importantly, I am married to Renee Kotler [Class of ‘69] and have four children and five grandchildren and also remain passionate about photography, My Cousin Vini, The Princess Bride, Shawshank Redemption and, of course, Animal House [present political climate excluded].
Marsha Wolowelsky Krieger Shoshana 4 Jerusalem, Israel 96106 marsha.w.krieger@gmail.com Life has been good these past 50 years! After starting careers and a family in the U.S. my husband David and I made aliyah in 1985 and have lived in Jerusalem for the past 30+ years. I worked as a career counselor for American Olim for 10 years and then did a career change to the high tech world here, working as a software tester and QA manager. It was an exciting time in Israel professionally and a great challenge for me. I recently retired from IBM. I have three daughters living in Israel, all professionals, and three grandchildren. Now retired, I attend a variety of classes, go to the museum and concerts and theater (in Hebrew), and of course babysit. We've done lots of traveling - China, Japan, Burma, South Africa to name the highlights. Living in Israel has enhanced our Jewish lives tremendously.

Please check out our key website www.fromthegrapevine.com. It is the largest entity of its kind in the world with over 30 million views per year and the potential to reach 100 million viewers or more. Its audience is broad and diverse —including Jews and non-Jews otherwise not inclined to engage Re; Israel. I had a long (successful) career in leadership roles with major consumer and medical device companies. I most recently served as Chairman and CEO of Bausch & Lomb. Prior to Bausch & Lomb, I served as Company Group Chairman, Worldwide Vision Care, for Johnson & Johnson. Jinny Silber Pinsky 515 Green Place Woodmere, NY 11598 j2pinsky@aol.com I raised three children in Brooklyn, all of whom attended Yeshivah of Flatbush through high school. They all got tired of hearing me say “not a day goes by where I don’t draw on my Yeshivah of Flatbush education”— and 50 years later, I still feel that way. They too are the beneficiaries of the excellent education Flatbush provided. I was active in the school and served on the Board of Education and even chaired the Tenure and Personnel committee. I worked in our family business for several years and taught high school English in the public schools—I enjoyed it and got a great deal of satisfaction from it. For the last 20 years I have been living in Woodmere where my grandchildren attend HALB, HAFTR, DRS and SKA. I also have grandchildren living in Chashmonaim in Israel and so not coincidentally we have a home in Jerusalem where we spend about three months during the course of the year (which explains why I am presently in Israel and not in Brooklyn at the reunion in Flatbush). Kol Hakavod to all who worked so hard to make this day so special!

I had the privilege of being able to allocate time during my business career to work for communal and educational organizations including: Founder and President of the Sephardic Community Federation, the public policy umbrella of the organized Sephardic Jewish community; Founding Board member of the Safe Foundation, which provides counseling and support to community members suffering from addiction, and public outreach on addiction issues; A Trustee and then a member of the Board of Overseers of the NYU Langone Medical Center; A Trustee of the City University of New York from 20062011 and a member of the CUNY Board’s Standing Committee on Academic Policy, Program and Research; Board Member and Chairman of the Fundraising and Education committees of the Sephardic High School; Founder and Co-Chairman of the OU’s Teach- NYS which is advocating for State support for non-public schools. My wife Nancy and I enjoyed working together on the following projects; Serving 30+ years on the Board of Sephardic Bikur Holim, a premier community-based social service organization in Brooklyn (including five years as President); Co-Founder and Treasurer of the New York Cancer Center. Nancy conceived and launched the program and has served as the President and principle fundraiser since inception; Certified by Ohel as Foster parents, we hosted 14 foster children, Including 1 special needs child who spent 18 months as part of our family; Led a group of ten Brooklyn community leaders to Senegal, together with American Jewish World Service President Ruth Messinger, to establish a pilot project for twinning communities focused on capacity-building and women’s empowerment networks in third world communities.

Gila Stamler Vogel Uzi Narkis 4 Apartment 15 Kfar Saba, Israel 052-327-6598 gilavogel2012@gmail.com I have been living in Israel since 1980 and now live in Kfar Saba. Am married to Dov and we have three children and nine grandchildren, ages 4 months to 13. We feel fortunate that all are living in Israel and we see them often. We are active members in Hod Ve'Hadar, the Masorti (Conservative ) synagogue in Kfar Saba. I retired several years ago from the faculty of the special education department of Beit Berl Academic College. I still am active in the Bar/Bat Mitzvah for the Special Child Program of the Masorti (Conservative) Movement which I helped to start over 20 years ago. In recent years, I worked with two friends to establish the Kol-Kore website. This website includes step by step instructions for learning to read trope for both bar/bat mitzvah youngsters and for adults. All the Haftarah and Maftir readings were recorded by women who volunteered to participate in this project. A unique feature is a series of 10 films explaining how to teach others, as well as materials that can be downloaded. The site includes a section on accompanying a child with special needs through the process of bar or bat mitzvah, commentaries on the connection between Torah portions and the Haftarah readings, and a calculator to determine the portion of the week that corresponds to one's date of birth. Our site appears in both English: www.kolkore.org/en and in Hebrew: www.kolkore.org. (I invite you to check it out) We keep busy helping out with our grandchildren and have also done some travelling.

Rebecca Brenda Weinstein Wiener 8-36 Susan Pl. Fair Lawn, NJ 07410-1616 201-794-1311 savtawiener@gmail.com After spending many decades in banking and the past 16 years as a Senior Managing Director at Sterling National Bank, I am officially retiring 12/31/18. My husband and I have two daughters, one son (about to get married) and seven wonderful grandchildren. We are looking forward to traveling, spending more time with our children and grandchildren and looking for a place in Israel as a second home. I am thankful to Flatbush for the excellent education that has given me fluency in Hebrew and, of course, for the wonderful and fond memories from elementary and high school.

Abraham Zerykier 99 Joseph Avenue Staten Island, NY 10314-5054 718-494-9170 abelz2@gmail.com I’ve been living in Staten Island for the past 35 years with my 21 year old bride, Debbie, whom I’ve been married to, ה"ב, for 47 years. We have four children, three of whom graduated from YOF High school, and ה"ב, ten wonderful grandchildren. Our children live in Brooklyn, Bergenfield, Cedarhurst, and North Woodmere, all within 45 minutes of us! One of our sons is an architect, one is a partner in a law firm, one a therapist with smicha from YU, and our daughter is an accountant. I have my dream job. I practice ophthalmology here on Staten Island, get paid for doing what I love, work ten minutes from my home, and Debbie works in my office. Someday I might think about retiring, but not yet. We also have an apartment in Aventura where we spend occasional time. What more could anyone want in life? Hashem has been very good to us .
