The Mariotto Residence The Japanese Umbrella - taking the structure of the umbrella, operable system of the pivot, and the idea of shades and protection, creating a flexible, spacious space for the three stories house.
Site Analysis The remodel is for the Mariotto’s residence located at 13 Wood Street, San Francisco. The House is a three-story building that occupies up to four people. This project required different styles for each unit, providing functional spaces for each user.
Design Approach The Garden Unit
The garden unit was designed in a traditional, contemporary style and includes fabrics from India to accentuate the overall feel. The operable partition panels reduce the distinction throughout the spaces while allowing natural light to penetrate in.
The Middle Unit
The middle unit was inspired with a sleek, modern, and gallery-like feel created by the minimalistic design and clean lines. The balanced use of cool and warm tones create a cozy space for one to relax in.

Starbucks Noe Valley San Francisco , California
The Equator - Continuity
Inspired by the equator which separates the northern hemisphere with the south. However, it is also where the the two meets and where coffees are grown around. Starbucks’s care towards their product, customer, and employees are equal; they want to unite the people through coffee. The design is adjusted to the neighborhood quality so that they will have a seamless relationship with the customer and the neighborhood.

Born and raised in Indonesia I moved to San Francisco to pursue my education goals. I have a diverse idea on what design is, having traveled to several continents from Asia, Europe and America. The opportunity to look at the architecture and design in different countries has provided me with wonderful insight. I have always had a strong passion for interior design. I believe great designs are about problem solving and creating communication that originates from fresh ideas and innovation. For the past three years, I have been trained to produce designs with strong concepts. I am looking forward to a job opportunity with an interior design or architecture firm that allows me to contribute my expertise and provide me with an intriguing, challenging and rewarding experience.
Through university course work, I have been introduced to: - Residential, commercial, retail, and green design - 3D Modeling - Color theory & lighting - Architecture, art and interior design history - Interior codes - Construction documents - Furniture, materials, and finishes specification - Professional practice -- Permit Process
