POSSIBILITY OF MASSIVE SOCIAL HOUSING

FRAMING THE CITY

Under the era background of massive entrepreneurship and innovation, more graduates, Beipiao choose to work for themselves or to be freelancers, as photographers, artists, writers, IT, designers, musicians and so on. They provide a steady stream of creativity and vitality to the society. After four years of campus life, although they have been accustomed to living in metropolis, they can not afford high prices of houses or office rents. Putting them into rural-urban continuum or basement is not a permanent solution, but also contrary to social justice. At the same time, in the society, they are in a relatively weak position, and have a high degree of mobility. In the short term, they do not form a family or settle in a place. What they need is a temporary transfer station. The transfer station will be a starting point for their integration into the city.

At the same time, the design will provide an opportunity for “the poor to return. I hope to design an uptown to offer these people a community, a life circle, to solve their problems in life and work, and to explore a new life mode. This uptown can meet all of their living requirements. This collective uptown is not just a residential area, but also a public area for business and work.

Frame the city

Positive projection city This new residential community will be designed to be a re integration of work and living areas, by rethinking and defining their boundaries. The new type of social housing will affect the city form. The building volume will become the framework of Frame-Shear City, rather than

With the end of the stage of rapid urbanization in China and the arrival of the “new normal, the traditional working class has gradually disappeared in big cities (migrant workers return home), while the new working class forms the urban labor force (the national entrepreneurship and re employment of the young in Internet industry). On the north side of Beijing West Railway Station is an enclave hidden by billboards. It is inhabited by immigrants and natives. On the north side of the base are Tongzilou and hospitals built in 1980s; on the south side is a 80 meter wide city highway, and the important city landmark and infrastructure of Beijing in 90s - Beijing West Railway Station; on the eastern side is a hotel, while the west side is commercial and residential building - a typical business mode due to rapid urbanization. In brief, the base is made up of a mixture of typical contributions from different ages. The close juxtaposition of landmark and enclave is its remarkable characteristic, and the premise of studying the relationship between each other.

Optimize the bathroom, toilet, storage room, bedroom and kitchen to be a whole structural wall, so as to balance the stability and flexibility of the real living space, create the most flexible living / working space, and maintain the area of public space

Flexible collaboration and mutual inspiration is needed between different workers. Open office is no longer a kind of mutual interference, but an inspiration exchange. Most of the new creators are free workers, and the traditional work mode can not meet their needs. They also cannot bear high rents and round-trip time. Enhance the communication between groups, reproduce the original village neighborhood relations

OPEN CITY GROUND: NO ACCESS CONTROL SYSTEM Access control community is the mainstream of the current real estate development. This kind of community model caused the widespread phenomenon of isolated island in big cities, and reduced the possibility of urban traffic microcirculation. Only with a minimum impact on the ground, can city ground become the most widely used public space. It will be beyond the interest oriented business model (towers + commercial zones), and get ride of Beijing closed courtyard mode and face the traffic problems of over-crowded big cities. Commercial residential area together with open low floor space, restaurant, green space will extends the ground floor, so that the underground first floor and third floor will be a part of the urban open space, which serves to the residents and the public, at the same time to provides living opportunities for residents.

GAP COMPARTMENT

The studio investigate two sites in downtown Providence: A Brick faรงade in ruins on Weybosset Street; and a parking structure on Pine Street. While the former consists on the remaining parts of a private bank, the latter is in itself a structure soon to be derelict with the emergence of new transportation and self-driving cars. Students will be motivated to interpret the significance of both structures as architectural signs and potential hosts of domesticity in an immediate future. Mental stress become a serious situation in the world and become more and more common. Have a gap moment is also becoming a popular lifestyle among grow up people, like the young adult choosing have a gap year before they enter university, take a time to stop, relax and rethinking their life, prepare for a new start. After studying of the common situation where people will try to have a gap moment, we planned to catalogue them in 4 different time period, stay for several days, weeks, months and a year, to design it according to the different request of privacy, character and activities they need. The historic faรงade left us a great start point, through the study and analyze of the surface, we start to get the form of our design for the special user group.

Keeping the same user group of the first program. As mental relaxation is becoming important and common, having a gap moment for grow up will be common as well to stop for a while to relax and prepare for re-start. The site is the staircase of the garage, and still keeping as the public transportation space for the whole garage, so the space left become a crawl space. That means a new living style will appear, living in a space people can't stand up, floor is not flat and no

fixed furnitures, people have to define and explore the function by themselves and also according to their special habit. and the special space encouraging people to thinking themselves through the emphasis of their body. It is designed for 1 person to living at once and living for no more than several weeks.

HILL CRAFTSMEN'S LEAGUE

The site is located in shexian county, huangshan city, anhui province, a small village. Design strategy: The selection of four traditional crafts originating from Huizhou, with a history of origin and a foundation of development, is used as a basis to attract more craftsmen to this symbiosis. Old building reconstruction: the auxiliary service function is to transform the old protection architecture, and renovate according to the characteristics and current situation of the old buildings. Weak boundary: the main building aims to create an open boundary and weak division of internal space, and weaken the sense of boundary everywhere. Will be obvious: building the roof as a connected hill, as well as a service to outsiders and local villagers activities and work as a communication space, shape the village center, at the same time highlight to keep old buildings, overlooking the beauty of the village full

XIAOWEI ALLEY #5

The development of China Central Academy of Fine Arts is accompanied by the tortuous development of China. With the development of society, this Academy moved from the bustling old center, leaving only this small piece of land. Here is Wangfujing - the most famous commercial street in China, Chang'an Avenue with first class international enterprises, Beijing snack street, the Imperial Palace, the Union Hospital... This is a place full of happiness and worries. As a graduate of this Academy, I hope that my alma mater can be world-renown and understood by people. The Academy has contributed to the new China and accompanied its growth. I hope that in this space, visitors can enjoy works of artists of the Academy of Fine Arts in the past 100 years, and Chinese history included in which. At the same time, my design can coordinate conflicts in this complex environment and provide patients and their families a relaxed environment, meanwhile offer tourists a wonderful experience.

RE-STORE: SURFACE SYSTEM A NEW EDGE

Chateau Neuf demonstrates the rationality of modernist architecture, its surface system fully following the logic of construction, no decoration, only material reality. As center for student activities, it has become tedious, boring and out of style to the youth of today. Materials have the ability to record time that can become appealing to someas time passes.Chateu Neu is neither new nor old, but its potential toremember events past is unknown to many. Chateau Neuf, as in important symbol of the Norwegian Student Society, which has united students to engage in cultural, political, academic and social activity since it was established in 1813. How to respect that and change it closed, chaotic and sombercharacter? Working with surface systems, I

propose the introduction of a system of material-program relations that reshape space, definenew types of rooms, and create contemporary atmospheresthat appeal and connect to the youth.

Let people see how time carves itself in the surface and how materialstransform our perception of space.
