CIRCLING / 2013 / ink painting / rice paper / 120x85(cm)
One day I was looking at my hands, and suddenly I made up a story about my hands. I imagined that what if I have four hands, and they could be a square, which has a magic area inside the square!
In addition, there will be two similar organisms keep circling in and out of the four hands, and will never meet each other, unless they break the magic region’s rule.
No matter the organisms hit the hand or tickle the hand, it just cannot go inside the magic area. And the story will be continue‌
“ What is going on? ”
But the sky suddenly have something happened, everyone stop their steps, and look up the sky.
It is a normal day as usual, so the people in the island, they walk normally. What the people do not know is the island where they live is a little piece of cookie crumbs on the water in a huge pot . The story will be continue…
This is a story about a man live in the high building and there are no body else except him. There has only a room near the top of the building and without any way to go up; thus, how can the man went up the building is still a mystery‌
The story will be continue‌
He could see the cloud from the window, and below the building is the forest.
Such as jump, fall down, pleased, happy and cheer.
Here are some characters in different emotions and actions.
SNEEZE / 2013 / oil painting / canvas / 73x61x2(cm), 100x80x2(cm)
SNEEZE was the first artwork I tried to use two paintings to display the effective, and I painted the water to contact each other. Between two frames, audience could have the interactive with SNEEZE.
I chose the bright oil color and adopted the strong colored shadow to emphasize the dramatic emotions.
In the exhibition, people could see the strong effect within the right head and left head.
REALLY INCAUTIOUS / 2014 / oil painting / canvas / 100x80x5(cm), 73x61x2(cm), 100x80x5(cm) I think how the audiences make up the story is part of REALLY INCAUTIOUS’s outcomes.
This is the story path I created for REALLY INCAUTIOUS. I set the story and captured the tableau in the end of the story, and I let three paintings have some connections.
But I am not willing to limit the audiences how to look at REALLY INCAUTIOUS. I expected people who look at REALLY INCAUTIOUS could plus their own thinking.
The next three paintings are which I finished in Prague when I was an exchange student in Academy of Fine Art in Prague(AVU). In this period time I tried to use the oil painting more flowing, I want to display the feeling of the time past.
And it successfully worked, the effective touched me so much.
TORN FLOWER / 2014 / oil painting / canvas / 35x40x2(cm)
TORN FLOWER is talking about the time flowed and showed on people’s faces. All of the sadness and happiness you could not cover them on the faces. It is just like the time stop and get milting successively.
FLOATING SPOON / 2014 / oil painting / canvas / 40x40x2(cm)
I chose the hook to tick the soul at the beginning, but I think the spoon could display the weight of the soul. It seems neither stable nor unstable, such as within the dangerous balance.
The red color on the spoon I threat it as a soul.
FLOWING TREE / 2014 / oil painting / canvas / 40x35x2(cm) FLOWING TREE is a scene that I imagined, and I wanted to emerge a place which makes me eager to dive into it so much. I changed the tree’s shape into the upward mobility of the blood capillary.
MUSHROOM KNOW THE WARM IN FALL / 2015 / oil painting / canvas / 130x89x5(cm)
MUSHROOM KNOW THE WARM IN FALL was the first artwork I combined oil painting with animation. This was my graduate project as well, because of the animation have to play in the dark room, so I worked hard to balance the light and the video.
This is the mushrooms' fall down routes I have tried to work in animation.

FILL IN THE MEMORIES / 2014 / paper and pencil / 04:07.81
I mixed the daily recording with animation to display how everyday is recycling. The line I drawn with pencil means the time of each day, and the little dots will start to fall down then touch the line, the dots means our daily memories which fill into our quotidian life. The little things we have done everyday is just keeping recycling over and over. Please play the video
THE MOVING TREES / 2013 / paper / 00:55.42 I made THE MOVING TREES was inspired by the story of “Hansel and Gretel”.
I set up two characters- a little girl and a grandma, and these are the faces and types I tried.
The background of THE MOVING TREES was placed in the forest with a lake. I tried some different shapes of trees to make the feeling more creepy. Please play the video
