"The building grows out of the landscape as naturally as any plant ; its relationship to the site is so unique that it would be out of place elsewhere."
— Frank Lloyd WrightThis quote by Wright has influenced my design philosophy. Architecture should be rooted in the site, and the specificity of the site will determine the character of the building. Finding a unique charm in the site should also be a quality that architects need to possess. It is the different histories and people of each region that create the richness of the architecture.

Pubulic Architecture Individual Work
The design is a library. The design provides a strategy to address the damage caused to Sint Maarten by the hurricane problem
The project is located on the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten, which was affected by Typhoon in 1997, 1999, 2017. As a result, there is a significant amount of waste wood around the site. We wanted the timber to be recycled and through this to be sustainable. And we have modularised the building so that it can be converted more easily in the event of another hurricane.
PROJECT LOCATION
The site is located on the Caribbean island of Sint Maarten, which is hit by hurricanes all year round.Suffered three huge typhoons in 1997, 1999 and 2017 respectively.
GENERAL INTRODUCTION
An extremely powerful hurricane that caused widespread destruction across its path A weak hurricane
PROBLEM

02 Bicycle Food Market

Public Architecture Individual Work
This design is a solution to the problem of excessive bicycle parking on the surrounding site by bringing bicycles into the food market.
The site is located on Bureau Gate Road in Shanghai and I found that bicycles are an important element around the site. After researching the site, I found that the residents of the site have a strong connection with bicycles. In order to design a food market that is better integrated into the site, my design strategy was to use ramps to bring bicycle users and other residents into the site, allowing for greater circulation around the site.
REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS
SITE MAIN PROBLEMS
1. Large traffic volume on the road, which is easy to cause congestion.
PEOPLE ANALYSIS
2. Due to the large number of bicycle users, the surrounding pedestrian roads are occupied by bicycle parking.
3. Narrow roads make it difficult for cars to pass, and bicycles become the main transportation equipment.

Residential Architecture
Individual Work
This design uses a variety of materials to create a living space for a tailor in Suzhou and to explore the possibilities of living there.
The site is located in the Gusu district of Suzhou. The site is influenced by a strong Shanghai-style culture. The buildings around the site are mainly traditional Suzhou dwellings and Shanghai-style buildings, the main materials used for these buildings include masonry, wood and silk.I continued to explore the fusion of three typical materials to form new living spaces.
SITE
The site is located at Changmen , Suzhou. Changmen was originally built in the Southern Song dynasty (1127-1279), and has been renovated several times over the centuries.
The city architecture of Changmen is characterized by a combination of traditional and modern styles. Many artifacts and exhibits related to the city's cultural heritage.
The building is dominated by a double-pitched roof and is surrounded by a mixture of brick and stone buildings of Shanghai-Style culture.
HISTORICAL CONTEXT
Chinese architecture has been predominantly timber-framed since 100 BC. Western architecture has been predominantly masonry since long ago.
Zhang Qian made a mission to the West and brought silk from the West to China. China began to make clothes out of silk, and by the Republican era, cheongsams became popular, which is the most distinctive feature of Shanghai-Stylculture. The Haipai culture had an unprecedented influence on Shanghai, which also had an impact on the architecture of Suzhou.
MATERIAL ANALYSIS
In addition to the traditional roof structure, silk is laid onto the roof as decoration, as one of the main elements that make up the design

By introducing Suzhou's intangible cultural heritage, ancient skills that visitors can experience, the project restores traditional street life in Suzhou, activates the streets, attracts people and increases interest in Suzhou life. And in the process, combining traditional architecture with new buildings and exploring development trends as a way to develop characteristics that distinguish them from traditional streets and alleys.
SITE ANALYSIS
The site is located within Pingjiang Road, Gusu District, Suzhou City, China. Unlike the usual architectural street pattern, Pingjiang Road is a preservation of the ancient Chinese water lane system, with a characteristic building-water-roadbuilding pattern.

To create the bustle of Suzhou's traditional streets and alleys, traditional culture is introduced into the streets so that visitors can experience the atmosphere of Suzhou anytime and anywhere in the streets.
STREET AND LANE ANALYSIS
Life-oriented Streets
The predominantly residential street has a recreational plaza. Traditional activities such as opera and gardening have been introduced into the streets to attract the elderly and children and to further perpetuate cultural memory.
Commercial Oriented Streets
The commercial-oriented street introduces traditional Suzhou cultural heritage, such as fan making, embroidery, New Year painting making, wood carving, etc. A harmonious coexistence of cultural heritage and commerce is created.
