Rocco Barocco was born in Naples and he spent his childhood on Ischia, and since he was a child he’s always looked at fashion with a particular eye. In the summer, when school ended, he went to work for the exclusive “Filippo” boutique in Ischia Porto, where he could develop his passion and he had the chance to discover the woman’s style of the Sixties: his dream and reality finally started to coincide.

The turning point for him was in 1962, when he was introduced to Patrick de Barentzen and Gilles, two famous designers who owned an atelier in Rome. After talking with him and listening to how passionate he was, they suggested him to go visit them in Rome, at the atelier. It took him some time to decide whether to go or not, but then he realized it was the right thing to do. He packed his bags and he left his hometown for Rome: here starts his adventure.
