DAY 1: CHICAGO

Welcome to Chicago! Spend some free time exploring all this amazing city has to offer. Take a walk down the Magnificent Mile for world class shopping, dining, and attractions. Head to the architectural wonder Millennium Park. Stop by Navy Pier for tasty food and great views of the city. The Windy City is truly one of a kind. (Overnight in Chicago)

DAY 2: CHICAGO

Enjoy a sightseeing architectural cruise of the Chicago harbor. Experienced and entertaining tour guides will recount the dramatic story of Chicago’s rise from the Great Fire of 1871 and how the Windy City became the home of the skyscraper and the cradle of modern American architecture. DAY 3: OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK®

Today, you will travel to Chicago’s Union Station and board the Empire Builder®. DAY 4: GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

Welcome to Glacier National Park, home to two different mountain ranges, 130 lakes, 1,000 species of plants, and 16,000 square miles of protected land. DAY 5: GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

Today, you’ll explore the serene sights of Glacier National Park on a scenic boat cruise of Two Medicine Valley. Enjoy a relaxing cruise while listening to the Blackfoot Indian folklore surrounding this gorgeous area. The Two Medicine Valley boat cruise will take your breath away! DAY 6: GLACIER NATIONAL PARK

Today, you will continue exploring Glacier National Park on the Big Sky Circle Tour. Drive over the breathtaking Maria’s Pass. Enjoy the local wildlife at Goat Lick. Venture along the Going-to-the-Sun Road, a windy-mountain thoroughfare that spans 50 miles through the park. After your tour, you’ll return to Glacier Park Lodge for your final night’s stay. DAY 7: OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK

Enjoy a relaxing morning at the Glacier Park Lodge before transferring on your own to the East Glacier Station and boarding Amtrak to Seattle.

DAY 8: SEATTLE

Welcome to Seattle! Get to know the “Emerald City” on a multi-day hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour. DAY 9: SEATTLE

Continue your hop-on, hop-off sightseeing tour of Seattle and explore any of the famous landmarks you didn’t get a chance to see yesterday. Today, also includes admission to the Space Needle Observation Deck and Chihuly Garden and Glass museum. The Space Needle is the most iconic structure in the city and from the 520-foot high observation deck, you’ll get stunning views of Mt. Rainier, the lights of downtown Seattle, and Elliott Bay. DAY 1: CHICAGO

DAY 2: SALT LAKE CITY

Keep your camera handy as your train makes its way west. This journey from Chicago takes you across the waving fields of grain that make up the Great Plains and through the soaring peaks of the Rocky Mountains. DAY 3: YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

DAY 4: YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK

Today you will experience the majesty of Yellowstone, the world’s first national park. Formed from the remains of an extinct super-volcano that exploded around 600,000 years ago, the park is a full of alpine lakes, flowing rivers, jagged peaks, expansive forests, hot springs and geysers. Your included tour allows you to experience all of this while stopping at a number of thrilling landmarks such as the world-famous geyser, Old Faithful. DAY 6: SAN FRANCISCO

DAY 7: YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK

Today’s trip to Yosemite National Park is one of the highlights of your journey. After being picked up from your hotel, you will ride through California’s agricultural heartland. This is a relaxing trip through some very charming countryside. Your visit to Yosemite itself is a chance to experience all the park is famous for: rocky peaks such as El Capitan, abundant pine forest, a variety of wildlife, and more. This evening you return to San Francisco. (Overnight in San Francisco)

DAY 8: LOS ANGELES

This morning you begin a truly scenic journey down to the California coast. Savor the beautiful rolling hills and amazing ocean views as you travel south. This evening, you stop for a night in Los Angeles before your vacation continues to the Grand Canyon. (Overnight in Los Angeles)

DAY 9: OVERNIGHT ONBOARD AMTRAK

Before your train departs in the evening, take some time to explore Los Angeles. Use your included tour which will help you learn all about Hollywood with a visit to some of the homes of the stars. Later on, head over to Union Station and board the Southwest Chief bound for the Grand Canyon.

DAY 10: GRAND CANYON NATIONAL PARK

You arrive in Williams, Arizona today headed for the Grand Canyon itself. Enjoy breakfast at the Fred Harvey Restaurant as you prepare to board the Grand Canyon Railway. This classic train ride runs through the largest expanse or ponderosa pine forest views of some charming southwest scenery. The train ends at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Formed over millions of years, the waters of the Colorado River have carved the Canyon into one of the wonders of the natural world. Your included tour picks you up from the South Rim and takes you all around for sightseeing while your guide provides a wealth of fascinating information about the area. The views are absolutely spectacular! You will stay this evening at the South Rim. (Overnight at the Grand Canyon)

DAY 11: WILLIAMS

This morning is yours to continue exploring the Grand Canyon. Relax by the Canyon and just enjoy the atmosphere. Take some time to visit some local attractions such as the historic Hopi House. In the afternoon, you will return to Williams on the Grand Canyon Railway. Dinner is included this evening as you prepare for the journey home. (Overnight in Williams)
