DAY 1 - ARRIVE IN VENICE

Upon arrival in Venice, enjoy the scenic journey to your hotel via a private boat transfer and check in for a three-night stay. Once you get your bearings, wander through the delightful cobbled streets and piazzas of this romantic city, discovering new treats around every corner including impressive churches, beautiful bridges and quaint trattorias. Stop in one of the many pretty restaurants to dine on traditional Venetian cuisine and admire the gorgeous scenery. DAY 2 - VENICE

Start today with a romantic private gondola ride through the Canals of Venice. A visit to Venice is not complete without a ride on a Gondola, a mode of transport that has been in existence in Venice for over 1000 years! Soak up the vibrant atmosphere in St. Mark’s Square, while marvelling at the beautiful mosaics that adorn the Basilica and maybe visit the Doge’s Palace, with its origins dating back to the 14th century. It is advisable to take a tour of this important Venetian landmark to fully understand its extensive history. DAY 3 - VENICE

Why not take a water taxi to the Lido and soak up the sunshine on the pristine, sandy beach? Alternatively, indulge your inner culture vulture and head to the Peggy Guggenheim Collection, boasting a large collection of modern art. For tasty treats and souvenirs to take back home, perhaps search for local specialities at the Rialto Markets. DAY 4 - VENICE TO LONDON

After breakfast this morning, board your shared taxi transfer to Santa Lucia station, and check in for your journey on the Venice Simplon-OrientExpress. Your steward will show you to your private compartment, before you enjoy a three-course lunch as you gaze at the beautiful passing scenery of the Italian Dolomites, the Austrian and Swiss Alps. Afternoon tea is served in your compartment. A four-course dinner is served in the evening in one of the three restaurant cars, after which you might like to visit the Bar Car ‘3674’, where the resident pianist plays a baby grand piano. Return to your cabin, which will have been transformed into a cozy bedroom by your Cabin Steward. (Overnight on the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express). Usual departure time from Venice Santa Lucia: 11:01am DAY 5 - ARRIVAL INTO LONDON

This morning, a Continental breakfast is served in your compartment before the train pulls into Paris Gare de l’Est and halts for 40 minutes. A delicious brunch is served in the restaurant cars as you travel on towards the French coast for the Channel crossing. Join the cream and umber carriages of the British Pullman, the Venice Simplon-OrientExpress’ sister train, for the journey to London. A traditional English afternoon tea accompanied by a glass of sparkling wine is served to you at your table as you watch the gentle scenery of Kent pass by before drawing into London Victoria Station. Usual arrival time in London Victoria: 5:30pm DAY 6 - LONDON

Set out to explore the British capital today making use of your fantastic sightseeing pass. Perhaps take a river cruise down the Thames or explore the city’s royal heritage with a trip to Buckingham Palace. In the evening, experience sumptuous cuisine ranging from Michelin-starred hotspots to quirky pubs all waiting to be discovered. DAY 7 - DEPART LONDON
