DAY 1 - ARRIVE IN OSLO Arrive in Oslo for a two-night stay and start exploring the Norwegian capital. Head up to the Akershus Fortress, a medieval castle offering breathtaking views over the Oslofjord.
DAY 2 - OSLO After breakfast this morning, enjoy a full day of sightseeing in Oslo with the Oslo Pass, which provides access to over 30 museums and attractions.
DAY 3 - OSLO TO FLAM
Flam
Take an early train from Oslo to Myrdal and connect with the world-famous Flam Railway. The journey from the mountain station of Myrdal down to Flam has been voted the most scenic rail journey in the world. Once to Flam, enjoy a special meal at the world-famous Ægir restaurant.
Your onward journey begins this morning with a ferry ride into the UNESCO World Heritage listed Nærøyfjord, the narrowest fjord in the world. This branch of the Sognefjord is spectacularly beautiful with its high peaks framing the narrow thread of water. Continue to Voss, where you transfer to the station for your onward train journey to Bergen.
DAY 6 - BERGEN After breakfast this morning, use your Bergen Card and enjoy free or discounted admittance to most museums and attractions as well as many cultural events, various sightseeing tours and restaurants.
DAY 7 - BERGEN TO OSLO After breakfast this morning, head back to the station for your scenic journey from Bergen back to Oslo along the Bergen Line, the highest mainline rail line in Northern Europe.
DAY 8 - YOUR JOURNEY ENDS IN OSLO Check out of your hotel after breakfast and depart Oslo.
