On arrival in Rome, check into your hotel for a two-night stay and set off to start exploring. Admire the breath-taking collection of ancient art, sculptures and statues at museums or why not take a trip to the enchanting Vatican? DAY 3 - ROME TO STRESA

Travel from Rome to Stresa, for beautiful Lake Maggiore. Like other northern Italian lakes, Lake Maggiore is an idyllic spot that has attracted visitors since the beginning of the 18th century. DAY 4 - STRESA

On the shores of the Borromean Gulf, Stresa is ideally situated as a base to explore the lake’s villages, islands and natural beauty. DAY 5 - STRESA TO COMO

Catch a Trenitalia train from Stresa to Como via Gallarate. Once in town, take a leisurely boat tour of Lake Como and enjoy the sights of grand villas, rolling hillside vineyards, historic towns, alpine peaks, and wooded islands that line the shore. DAY 6 - COMO

After breakfast, the rest of the day is yours to explore the beautiful scenery of Lake Como and the charming town as you wish. The Centro Storico, or old town, is a maze of picturesque little streets, squares and cafés. DAY 7 - COMO TO DESENZANO

Board a Trenitalia train from Como to Milan to Desenzano and Lake Garda. Treat yourself to an indulgent day exploring the boutique shops and restaurants of Desenzano del Garda or enjoying city views from the Torre di San Martino. DAY 8 - DESENZANO

Take in the views of Lake Garda and the Alps while relaxing on one of the town’s beaches or take a boat trip out on the lake. DAY 9 - DESENZANO TO MILAN

Take another Trenitalia train from Desenzano to Milan..Visit the Santa Maria delle Grazie convent or stroll through the Brera district.
