Ages 8-17 Swim Club is a great way to experience the fun an competitive atmosphere of swim team, but with less commitment! This class gives swimmers a chance to develop their competitive swimming skills and prepare to join the Dolphins Swim team. Swim club covers stroke techniques, starts and finishes plus much more! Participants must be able to swim 25 yards. Swimmers should be able to demonstrate front crawl with rotary breathing and must be familiar with breaststroke and backstroke. » AQUATICS TEEN PROGRAMS AQUATICS TEEN LEADERS PROGRAM Teens will be learning how to swim, leadership skills, basic lifesaving skills and how to help with swim lesson instructions. Participants will expand their learning and development in aquatics skills, leadership skills, communication, problem solving, decision making, and inclusion. » WELLNESS PROGRAMS DIABETES PREVENTION PROGRAM The Y’s Diabetes Prevention program helps adults at high risk of developing type 2 diabetes reduce their risk for developing the disease by taking steps that will improve their overall health and well-being. The program is 1 year long and consists of 25 meetings at the Oak Square Y. It is a small group, classroom based class that offers nutrition, exercise and lifestyle guidelines to reduce weight and improve health. This class is FREE and open to all members of the community.
