LEADERS CLUB You can meet many of tomorrow’s leaders today at the YMCA Leaders Club, a leadership incubation program that gives teens the opportunity to learn to become more effective in their interactions with others. Teens improve their individual leadership and social skills while also experiencing new ways to give back and grow as human beings. Teens meet on a weekly basis in small groups to develop and implement projects aimed at providing valuable service to their local community. Fridays 5:30 pm YOUTH & GOVERNMENT Youth & Government is about leadership, about learning what it takes to make social change happen. In Youth & Government students or “delegates” participate in a Model Government Conference by being a Senator, House Representative, Lobbyist, Judge, Lawyer, Journalist or many other positions. Delegates receive training on these positions through weekly meetings and special training events prior to the conference. Tuesdays 5:00 - 6:00 pm

ACHIEVERS Our curriculum’s focus is on the holistic development of each of our students. Most college access programs concentrate solely on college knowledge and academic requirements, but our curriculum is unique because of it’s additional focus on “Positive Relationships,” “Life Skills” and “Positive Identity.” Our ability to influence these students in a variety of different settings throughout the year is critical to the program’s effectiveness. During the week, our students are supported, engaged and influenced at their local YMCA. On the weekends, these students develop at our bi-weekly cohort meetings, which are intentionally located on the campus of Northeastern University to inspire hope and a belief that a college degree is in all of our student’s futures. These cohort meetings are taught by adult volunteers from community partner organizations such as State Street, Raytheon, Tufts Health Plan, Partners HealthCare, Eversource and Harvard Pilgrim. Saturdays (bi-weekly) starting on: October 12th, 2019 - May 9th, 2020 9:00 am - 1:00 pm

TEEN NIGHT For teens who don’t where to spend their Friday or Saturday nights, come to the Wang YMCA. Here, teens can play volleyball and basketball, and teens can utilize the facility to continue a healthy lifestyle. Hot dinners are served every Friday night from 7PM – 8PM. Activities such as movie nights, basketball tournaments, and workshops for each night varies. Teen nights are open to all middle school and high school students with a YMCA membership. Teen night is not offered every Saturday. For more information on the teen night schedule, please contact Wendy Jamsri. Fridays 6:00 – 10:00 pm Select Saturdays 7:00 - 9:00 pm
