Tread & Shred:

Mini All Stars: Ages 3-5 | 45 Minutes

Healthy Kids Kitchen:

Introduce your little athlete to a variety of sports including but not limited to basketball, soccer, t-ball, and kickball! This is a great class to get your child active and interacting with other children. Wed: 5:00pm

Ages 7-12 | 45 Minutes Children will be introduced to basic cooking skills such as measuring and mixing while creating and later enjoying a healthy treats! Sat: 11:15am

75 minutes F:$95 M:$110 N:$185 Enjoy a total body workout, with the guidance of a Personal Trainer, in a class that combines 30 minutes of cardiovascular training and 45 minutes of strength training. Mon: 10:30am

Basketball Skills & Drills:

Archery:

Ages 6-12 | 45 minutes This class is aimed towards learning the basics of archery. Participants will learn safety protocols and basic shooting techniques at our outdoor archery range. Sat: 9:00am (ages 6-8) Sat: 10:00am (ages 7-12)

Introduction to the Weight Room:

Ages 4-12 | 45 minutes Participants will learn the rules and fundamentals of basketball as well as good sportsmanship and teamwork. Each class will include a warm-up followed by drills and scrimmages. Tue: 6:00pm (ages 7-12) Sat: 8:00am (ages 4-6) Sat: 9:00am (ages 7-12)

Soccer Skills & Drills:

Ages 6-12 | 45 minutes Participants will learn the rules and fundamentals of soccer as well as good sportsmanship and teamwork. This class will be held outdoors and will include a warm-up followed by drills and scrimmages. Tue: 5:00pm

Baby Ballerinas:

Ages 3-5 | 45 minutes Your little dancer will participate in a structured class that will work on developing coordination, listening skills, and flexibility through ballet dance and movement. Sat: 11:45am

Musical Theater/Broadway Dance: Ages 6-12 | 45 Minutes Dancers will learn basic dance movements in a structured class setting through coordination and creative expression. This is a great way for children to engage in a less traditional physical fitness activity. Sat: 12:45pm

Hip Hop:

Ages 6-12 | 45 Minutes Dancers will learn the basics of hip hop dance and movement through a high energy class that promotes creativity, inspires individual style, and encourages showcasing their personality. Sat: 1:45pm

CANCELLATION POLICY

A request of cancellation form must be filled out at the Welcome Center before the start of the 2nd class to be eligible for a refund or credit.

FUNCTIONAL FITNESS STUDIO Groups range minimum of 3 people and maximum of 6 people. For available days and times or to register visit the Welcome Center.

Small Group Training:

60 minutes I 2x week M:$115 NM:$185 Led by a certified personal trainer, each training session focuses on strength training, endurance and core with the use of ropes, kettlebells, bars, TRX and fitness center equipment for optimal results. Our trainers specialize in encouraging individual progression and skill development while your peers offer the camaraderie, competitive spirit and accountability.

Small Group Training for Youth:

Ages 10-16 I 45 minutes F:$60 M: $75 NM: $150 Improve sports performance and pave your way to a healthy lifestyle! These challenging, fun, kidfriendly incorporate activities that develop speed, power, agility, balance , coordination, strength and endurance and use kettlebells, medicine balls, ladders, TRX, dumbbells, plyo boxes, battle ropes and more. Participants registered for more than one session per week recieve 10% off.

PERSONAL TRAINING Work with a certified Personal Trainer to customize a fitness plan designed specifically for you. Variety of packages and payment plans are available. For more information, please contact Olga Arnold at oarnold@metronorthymca.org. • Work one-on-one with a trainer for 30 minutes or 60 minutes per session. • Excellent for members with injuries or limitations, or for individuals seeking an accelerated program. • Individual attention provides a custom plan to suit your needs and to help you reach your goals.

45 minutes F:$75 M:$90 N:$165 Work with a personal trainer in a small group and take the fear out of working out with weights in the weight room environment. You know that weight training is a must for optimal body composition and health, but you are not sure where to start? This class is ideal for those who would like to learn how to lift weights but are intimidated by the whole process. Learn how to target all of the major muscles and get passed the fear of working out in the weight room in this 45-minute, small group training class. Sat: 10:30am

Junkyard Gym:

60 minutes F:$85 M:$100 N:$175 Get ready to blast fat away while increasing work capacity and strength with our junkyard gym class. Take your fitness to the next level with high intensity circuits consisting of unconventional exercises such as flipping tires, swinging sledge hammers and more. Wed: 4:00pm Wed: 9:00am

FREE FOR MEMBERS! Boot Camp with a Twist:

60 minutes FREE for members of the YMCA of Metro North. Registration is required. Held in the state-of-the-art Gymnastics Center at the Saugus YMCA Campus. This results-driven, challenging yet achievable interval class is designed to: • Build strength • Improve cardiovascular endurance • Get in shape • Change up your workout routine • Prepare for the next obstacle race All levels of fitness and abilities are welcome and everyone will feel successful at the end of each class. PARENT CHILD SWIM Stage B:

30 mins; 18mo-Age 3 F: $70 M:$125 NM:$190 Parents learn water safety, holds and towing techniques that encourage basic kicking/pulling and water independence for children. Toddlers are introduced to submerging, kicking and pulling combinations, floating and swimming without flotation. Swim diaper must be worn for children not potty trained. Sat: 9:45am (1x/week for 8 weeks, 8 classes)

PRESCHOOL SWIM

Please Note: Thursday classes that are scheduled to meet on July 4th will be prorated to reflect the missing class.

This class is for the child who has little or no experience. Increases comfort with underwater exploration and introduces basic self-rescue skills performed with assistance.

Stage 2:

This level reinforces level 1 skills. This is for children who are comfortable in the water. They are taught to kick, float, and perform the progressive paddle stroke.

Stage 3:

Swimmers must swim 20 feet or about three quarters the width of the pool without flotation to enter this class. Develops intermediate selfrescue skills performed at longer distances than in previous stages.

Stage 4/5:

Swimmers must be able to proficiently swim the width of the pool on their stomach and back without flotation to enter this class. Introduces basic stroke technique in front crawl and back crawl and reinforces water safety through treading water and elementary backstroke.

PRIVATE & SEMI PRIVATE LESSONS Lessons are available this summer! Lessons are 30 minutes and can be tailored to your childs individual swim goals. Contact Drew Sidell, Saugus Aquatics Director at dsidell@metronorthymca.org with any questions!
