Please Note: Due to a competition there will be no classes March 29th, 30th, & 31st. Make-up classes will be held April 19th and 20th. Sunday classes will reflect a 6-week session, there will be no make-up classes due to the Easter holiday on April 21st.
YOUTH SPORTS L.I.F.T:

Baby Ballerinas:
Ages 3-5 | 45 minutes Your little dancer will participate in a structured class that will work on developing coordination, listening skills, and flexibility through ballet dance and movement. Tues: 4:00pm Sat: 11:45am

Ages 4-12 | 45 minutes Participants will learn the rules and fundamentals of basketball as well as good sportsmanship and teamwork. Each class will include a warm-up followed by drills and scrimmages. Tue: 6:00pm (ages 7-12) Sat: 8:00am (ages 4-6) Sat: 9:00am (ages 7-12)
Healthy Kids Kitchen:
Ages 3-12 I 45 minutes Children will be introduced to basic cooking skills such as measuring and mixing while creating and later enjoying healthy treats. Sat: 9:00am (ages 3-5) Sat: 10:00am (ages 6-12)
Hop, Skip, Read:
Ages 3-5 | 30 minutes Each week the group will read a new story together. A fun, interactive, theme-related activity will follow where participants will hop, skip, run, and further develop gross motor skills. Mon: 9:00am
Energy Express:

Rhythm Nation:
Ages 8-12 | 45 minutes Participants will explore creative expression through poetry and beat. Along the way they learn poetry basics, literary techniques and devices, as well as rhythmic timing and delivery. Wed: 5:15pm
Coding I & II:
Ages 7-12 | 45 minutes Learn the basics of coding in Coding I that will allow participants to design their own video games, complete puzzles, and design apps! In Coding II, participants will continue to build on their foundational coding skills while creating more complex programming. Mon: 6:30pm
Robotics:
Ages 7-12 | 45 Minutes This class will introduce your young engineers to basic circuitry and engineering design through hands on activities and learning. Tues: 6:30pm
Short Film Production:
Ages 7-12 | 45 minutes Group members will work together to write, design, and create their own short film over the course of the session. Wed: 6:00pm
Little Scientists:
Ages 3-5 | 30 minutes Children will explore the world of science through fun, interactive activities and experiments. Mon 10:00am
Messy Play:
Ages 2-5 | 30 minutes Projects will be completed using paints, watercolors, chalk, goop, glitter, and glue in addition to other messy materials. Please bring an old shirt of smock to get dirty. Mon: 11:00am
Lunch Bunch Play Group:
Ages 3-5 | 45 minutes Participants will create a small healthy lunch while spending time enjoying a different activity each week. Mon: 12:00pm
Karate:
Ages 4-12 | 45 minutes Participants will learn foundational karate movements along with basic meditation/ mindfulness practices. Sun: 3:00pm (ages 4-6) Sun: 4:00pm (ages 7-12)

ADULT FITNESS Tread & Shred:

Introduction to the Weight Room:
45 minutes Work with a personal trainer in a small group and take the fear out of working out with weights in the weight room environment. You know that weight training is a must for optimal body composition and health, but you are not sure where to start? This class is ideal for those who would like to learn how to lift weights but are intimidated by the whole process. Learn how to target all of the major muscles and get passed the fear of working out in the weight room in this 45-minute, small group training class. Sat: 10:30am

Women’s Self Defense:
8 Hour Course I 2 days, 4 hours each session M: $90 NM: $207 Gain confidence, feel empowered and in control in any situation, when you learn the skills needed to take care of your own safety. Learn how to be aware of your surroundings, practice safety for every day life and how to physically defend yourself if you are ever in danger. Taught by Taught by Kevin Janielis, a retired Captain of Suffolk County Sheriff’s Department and a Certified Personal Safety and Self Defense Consultant. FREE FOR MEMBERS! Introductory Group Exercise Classes:
If you are new to Group Exercise and feeling a bit intimidated, these classes are for you! Learn the basics of various Group Exercise class formats such as TRX, Yoga, Zumba and more. After attending one or more of the introductory classes, you will be able to partake with confidence. Participation in the Introductory classes is not required but can be very helpful in learning new techniques and building your confidence. Please visit the Welcome Center to inquire about the next set of introductory classes.
Boot Camp with a Twist:
FREE for members of the YMCA of Metro North. Registration is required. Held in the state-of-the-art Gymnastics Center at the Saugus YMCA Campus. This results-driven, challenging yet achievable interval class is designed to: • Build strength • Improve cardiovascular endurance • Get in shape • Change up your workout routine • Prepare for the next obstacle race All levels of fitness and abilities are welcome and everyone will feel successful at the end of each class.
