Thank You,

We approached 2022 with renewed hope. A determination to upright that apple cart that was toppled over by COVID-19. The hope to see our classrooms filled with students again, to see our fitness rooms filled to the brim with members, and our swimming pools overflowing with people learning a new skill, practicing for a swim team competition, taking a therapeutic class, or just relaxing and getting in a great workout.

In 2022, we felt the energy returning to our branches and staff. Reinvigorated by the promise of a world absent of a pandemic, or at least one held at bay, the excitement extended to not only our staff, but our members and the community as well. This past year, we began a transition from a ‘pandemic-support’ approach by returning our focus to the future and the greater good. Our childcare, wellness, and social responsibility services all received a tremendous boost from the community, local governments and generous donors alike. When the pandemic hit, I knew that we would all be shaken to the core by the sheer enormity of the impact it would have. But we have come out of it as a stronger, healthier organization that is even better positioned to serve the multifaceted needs of our diverse communities.

With our roots in the community going back more than 100 years, we recognize both the tremendous progress made, as well as the continued need to contribute to all the communities we serve by becoming more inclusive and equitable. Our 20-year history of our unique partnership with the Jewish Community Center was cause for celebration. The diligence of our staff, boards, and volunteers promises to advance our inclusivity, making us an even more welcoming organization in the years to come.

At the YMCA of MEWSA we serve relentlessly with our community until all can thrive in each stage of life. Each day, in our Y centers, at our camps, in our schools, beyond our walls in communities across Middlesex County we come ready to face the challenges that will make us all stronger at the end of the day. We appreciate you joining us as we continue our commitment to strengthening our communities.
