With nationwide membership, members have the flexibility to use participating Y facilities throughout the U.S. at no extra charge. Please visit ymcaofmewsa.org/membership/ member-benefits for details.

I have been disabled since 2004 and was doing nothing other than hanging in my apartment. My two doctors said that I have to start doing something and one of my doctors suggested joining the YMCA. I am on limited income but when I went to the YMCA they said they have an Open Doors program that might be able to help out a person who is in the situation I am in—being disabled with little funds and doing nothing. I applied for the Open Doors program and was accepted at a rate that would not dig into my monthly budget where I would have to choose between food or being a member of the YMCA. I am now a proud member of the YMCA and I have never felt better mentally or physically since becoming disabled. The staff have been very cordial to me and the machines that are available to use for my disability have made me stronger and I now feel 100% better than before I was accepted into the YMCA community. I want to thank all of the staff for making my life full once again and being treated with dignity which is the norm towards all members whether you are on limited income or not. Thank you all. “Our two youngest children have been attending a Y Early Learning Center since they were infants and we are so grateful for the experiences they and our family have had as a result. The Y understands the value of developmentally appropriate practices for supporting young learners and engages children in productive play that fosters a sense of community, personal we—being and responsibility, and allows children to meet appropriate learning goals that will enable them to achieve as they enter K-12 schools. The caregivers, teachers and supervisors work as a dedicated team who place the needs of the children first. There is no better place to be a young child!” -Jim and Heather Casey, Parents
