Help us Achieve our Goal of Raising $1,350,000 for our Community

The YMCA of Snohomish County will raise $1,350,000 through the 2021 Annual Campaign. These funds will be invested in the hiring of a professional Youth Development staff, the further integration of Big Brothers Big Sisters, development and expansion of core youth leadership programs like the My Achievers Program, Leaders Club, Youth and Government and our Counselor In Training Programs, the expansion of youth sports and aquatic programming, the establishment of a youth swim team program and ensuring equity of access to all YMCA programs and services to teens and families.

This is a generation of young people who deserve extraordinary consideration, support and guidance.

Youth in Our Community The effects of COVID-19 have disproportionately affected young people. Both immediate and longer-term factors through which young people are affected include social isolation, loss of structured activities (school, clubs, social activities), increased screen time, potential exposure to stress within the home and the charged realities of generational systemic racism. As challenging as remote or hybrid learning may be, the challenges are compounded for children from low income homes and even more so for those who are homeless. With your support, the Y and BBBS will continue to work in partnership to care for our youth.

YMCA Response Once again, the YMCA, with the support of volunteers and the generosity of donors, will step up to meet the needs of our youth and in doing so support our families and help to revitalize our region’s economy. The Y is where youth and families are able to reclaim their health and well-being and where together we will reclaim our community. The YMCA of Snohomish County is asking you to partner with us by investing in the lives of our young people through programs and services uniquely designed to support their healthy development in spirit, mind and body.
