This Sidewinder makes long trips relaxing - its 16-litre auxiliary fuel tank and 50 total litres capacity stretches a long way on the trail. This latest model features a flatter (by 9.7º) track approach angle (thanks to a drive shaft lowered by 28.5mm) resulting in more floatability and manoeuvrability, with outstanding levels of grip and propulsion, particularly in deep snow.

Springless 153 rear suspension

There’s an impressive range of easily adjustable tuning options, thanks to the FOX FLOAT® shocks - QS3 centres and a QSL rear shock with climb lock-out, which features compression settings of Light, Medium and ‘Locked’ (1-2-L). In deep snow, the ‘L’ position prevents rear-arm squat and exaggerated ski lift, for greater control and performance.

Long travel rear suspension with flip-up

The long-travel suspension features adjustable pre-loading of the torsion springs to cater for different loads. The convenient flip-up rail section makes it easier to climb out of deep snow by giving the ‘feeling’ of a shorter track model. Once locked up, the straight rail suspension greatly increases the traction, speed and stability on flat snow or the trails.

38” Independent Double Wishbone front suspension - for precision

The uniquely wide A-arm spacing and state-ofthe-art suspension geometry complements the advanced chassis design, resulting in a really ‘tight’ set-up. The High Pressure Gas shocks feature a hard anodised aluminium body with a 0.5” shaft and an internal aluminium floating piston, along with high quality seals and ice scrapers and a forged shaft-end eyelet.

Across the industry, Camso® tracks are widely acclaimed for their grip, acceleration, cornering and all-round capability. Rear suspension that’s pretty serious

Because the advanced chassis design and precise handling is as close to a full-size Yamaha as it’s possible to be, the rear suspension also had to be equally capable. For the SnoScoot, we developed a slide-rail suspension system with a steel twintube hydraulic shock, as well as an adjustable pre-load torsion spring.
