unit show 2020 school of design graduation show

Nanyang Polytechnic’s yearly School of Design’s, graduation show was bound to be held in URA this year. Unit 20 would transform into a portal to the SDN parallel community in our own Singaporean context. Incorporating with the cages and bus stops, it becomes “a stage performance by the students” that has a theatrical/ humane aspect to it. With URA being the venue this year, it has greatly influenced the Singapore lifestyle. It would be an alternate way of life that will be displayed by (SDN) with the use of technologies and through our works.

clockwork living terminal The Tanjong Pagar Terminal is under the threat of demolition in the face of redevelopment, taking along with its memories of this iconic site in Singapore. The Clockwork Living Terminal intends to preserve this heritage for future generations by repurposing the existing cranes and containers to introduce a new sustainable housing typology and masterplan that allows for growth.

the hidden The rise of the latent civilisation that was flipped under the restriction of the upper world.

The Living Quarters A space designed using the shape of the tree roots. Through the site analysis, it could be seen that there were many trees located around. As the space is designed underground, the things needed to tackle were the pilings from existed buildings and tree roots that sips into the ground.

little india

the artist by day, the conveyor by night In the day he works as a street artist who displays his artworks on Little India along the side of Buffalo Rd. At night, he helps the stall owners to deliver goods from Pasir Panjang Market and back to earn extra cash. At the same time, to let him continue to have his workshop there.

Through the stucture, there are curves and layers which are based on the study of an Onion. Using the form of an Onion, I studied the layers and the core. There are different layers in the structure and the core is the onion peeler’s private living space.
