JACLARE WILLIAMS
Graphic Artist – Marketing Department Born and raised in California, JaClare has loved creating things such as greeting cards for her family and friends since she was young. She has an associate degree in graphic communications and has been working in the marketing industry for the past 13 years. With Japan being on her bucket list of places she’s always wanted to visit, she was ecstatic when her brother got stationed to Yokota. On a whim decision she applied to the marketing department, “I applied just for kicks, but didn’t think much about it until I received an email two weeks later for a phone interview. Next thing I knew I was on a plane to secure my position as a graphic artist.” Since 2019 she has worked in the marketing department, creating logos and branding designs for facilities such as the Samurai Fitness Center and Mediterranean Bistro. She also helps bring the pages of Horizons Magazine to life every month. When asked what she enjoys most about her job JaClare replied, “I enjoy being able to execute an idea into reality and create designs that are meaningful and easily digestible for the viewer. It warms my heart to know that the things I create have substance in the Yokota community.” When JaClare isn’t working, she’s out exploring Japan and learning as much as she can about its culture. “Anime and manga have always played a huge role in my creativity. I would watch documentaries and old samurai movies and I fell in love with the culture — from architecture to customs.” The marketing department is proud to have her on their team. Her director describes her as immensely talented, dedicated and passionate. When asked what her future goals are JaClare replied, “My dream is to work for a major magazine as a creative director, but in the meantime I’d love to see all of Japan and Asia to soak up new experiences and ignite inspiration.” Be on the lookout around Yokota and maybe you can spot some of her amazing work.
