Behringer Buf300 Ultra Bass Flanger Survey Solid, but not amazing flanger pedal, but for the price there's not much more you could ask for. The plastic casing that some have been worried about is pretty solid, would take some serious effort to break it would seem. If you're looking for a cheap pedal to play around with, this is your pedal. If you're looking for a high-end flange, this isn't for you. I have been a professional musician for 30 years, and thought at this price "why not?" I received the item, opened it and followed instructions to install 9volt battery. Doing this very first step, of installing the battery, a piece of the plastic hinge broke, very low grade plastic. I crazy glued the part, installed the battery and plugged in my US Fender Jazz Bass w/Dimarzio pups to a Ampeg amp, switched on the pedal for the flange effect. The effect was terrible, digitally jagged, not smooth, and did not flange lower freqs, only effected the D and G strings when it is supposedly a "bass flanger". I tried the footswitch and it wouldn't switch on or off with my foot centered on the pedal. it only switches when one steps on the left side of switch, terrible, unreliable, poor design, bad electronics. This unit is unusable, has an awful flange effect, made of poor quality plastic, and won't switch when you step on it properly. Total waste of money, get a serious, well built flanger pedal from a known quality manufacturer of serious pedals that are designed for gigging on the road so you will actually use it, not contribute yet another item to the plastic in our land fills. I am very pleased with this effect pedal. It exceeded my expectations. Now my set is almost complete! Thank you Victor Pontes The Behringer bass effect seems amazing, to me, for the low price. I have to admit that I haven't found a lot of uses for it so far except just playing around with it, but it is fun! Although it says you can get a 9volt in the pedal it's just not true. Had to send it back. Shame.
